2Sparrows started this game, and I'm bringing it back.

You find a Bible verse that contains (somewhere in it) the last word of the verse before yours.

I'll start: And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

Now, the next person to post finds a verse and that has "purpose" somewhere in it.

"And now, behold, bound in spirit, I am on my way to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there, except that the Holy Spirit solemnly testifies to me in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions await me."

Acts 20:22-23

Use "afflicitions" as the next word
