In "real life", I would hope that if a guy winked at me, he would then approach me for a conversation. Of course, if a guy winked at me, I could smile, or at least make myself available for conversation. Online, that's harder to do. When I first joined the site, I always responded to winks with just a simple "Thanks for the wink" sort of message that I felt was the online version of smiling or making myself approachable. Most of the time, though, the guys never bothered to approach me for conversation...so now I ignore the winks. (And most of the time I'm genuinely not interested...otherwise I'd already have messaged them.) Post Reply
