I was working on the right way to add this to my profile. Its the same old question asked over and over, but being able to relate to the villians, < thats a joke there I thought this might help. Up until yesterday, I felt I should respond no matter what to any email I received. But now I believe I am able to shut my eyes and click delete.

This seems (IMO) to be the #1 male complaint and I don't wonder.

~ Brothers.. I love yall', I dont mean to offend or correct anybodys style of shall we say pursuit, and hope only that my comments help somebody in one way or another ~

Icky Profile Responses (IMO)

1. A wink to me its disrespectful, never have responded to those, its like a whistle and what makes It worse is having to delete it.

2. The email says one word: "hi. I simply dont know what to do with that, sending the same makes me feel like Im wasting time. It seems for me anyway that the man isnt interested in talking, and probably sends loads of these out every day. I can understand not knowing what to say right off, but you can get ideas from a persons profile.

3. When I get emails that say.. "I believe you have my rib" or "I believe you're my miracle IMO that says the man; hasnt read my profile, thinks lines like these work, read my profile and thinks hes funny or somethings very wrong.

4. Appears to be a nice guy, everything looks legit but includes his name and phone, etc. The man could be sincere, but its not a wise thing to do, were strangers and its kind of freaky.

4. And/or when its obviously from a scammer

I agree...if I am suspicious of the author, I may wait a day or two to see if they get deleted. More often than not, those I suspect to be scammers are removed.

This online social atmosphere is definitely challenging. I often will send a wink back if winked at as I think of it as a friendly hi from a passerby.

why the "Hi" ?

in the superfast highspeed internet dating scene,

it seems people will make a profile,

see noone in 250 miles that interests them,

forget all about the profile/site....

so in the simplicity of the male mind,

"Hi" is the start of communication/conversation,

without investing Your entire heart into a mailer

that will probably never be read?

suggested replies to Hi, "sup?"

enough to know you are

active with Your profile?

@ wydk1 I do get your point, and really I speak only for myself here. In my experience it goes like this:

(he sends the email):

Him: Hi

Me: Hi (for reasons stated above)

Him: How are you

Me: Good, how are you (for reasons state above)

somewhere within 10 emails of this riveting conversation, it ends. wydk1, If I read you profile and sent you a something like:

I read you profile and your question made me think, I do know that while I had friends, I have more from this site. So that's a good thing..lol, at least I think so,... how long have you been here? (ok, maybe more polished but same thing - you get the point )..

Him(you): Not long, u?

Guess I'm saying its work I have no motivation to perform, its not serious, but if you send an email, shouldn't it say something?

There's something in the word "honestly" if added to the usual statement, "How are you?".
