Do You Use Courtship & Friendship?Posted : 20 Feb, 2015 04:16 PMTo be honest, I would hope to use the "courting" process for both concepts! You know, even before the decision is made to become exclusive to one another, there should have already been a "connecting" as friends in fellowship. |

Do You Use Courtship & Friendship?Posted : 13 Mar, 2015 06:01 PMI like the old ways of doing things. Dating many guys was not looked upon as being promiscuous. I guess, that would be now just considered hanging out with groups of friends and going out for coffee. This is where you would get that opportunity to get to know each other to see if you really did want to "date" or in old fashioned terms, go steady. Now, I guess you could call it courtship (I realize they are slightly different). I like the idea of courtship in the terms that it is focusing on respecting and honoring the other. Moving towards a more personal relationship. It guards your heart and keeps things from moving so fast that you might be tempted to go where you did not want to go. It also shows a lady if a man is willing to wait for her, he is practicing control and will be able to continue practicing that control towards other women when married. Make sense? So, if I find someone, I would like to use that model of respect and honoring of each other's emotions and body. |
