Can there be time frames for courtship and dating like one or two years for courtship. Should boundaries play a role. Let me know what you think. god bless. Post Reply

Posted : 7 Nov, 2009 10:42 PM Some would define dating as something done strictly for fun and courting as something done to determine marriage compatibility. Personally, I don't put much stock in either term. I think moral boundaries and intentions are where the basis is, and not whether what you're doing is "dating" or "courting". There's a right and a wrong way to do either one, so I don't see a point in getting worked up over which one you're doing. Seek first God, use wisdom and everything else will fall into place. Posted : 9 Nov, 2009 02:20 PM When I did mission work with the Indians, their custom was arranged marriages with no waiting period and they seemed to work much better than our freewill marriages. I am more in favor of younger marriage because of the morals problem. Sowing wild oats always causes problems for marriage. Shalom Dan Post Reply
