On the up-side, I will likely talk to most anyone who IM's me. That doesn't mean that I'm actually interested in him, but I'm not rude enough to ignore the IM. If a guy sends me a message, I usually answer, but if I'm really truly not interested, it might just be the standard "I don't think we would make a good match" reply. Now, having said all that... All the good connections I've made online have come from messages, not IMs. Maybe it would be a good idea to send a girl a message, then IM her when she's online, and follow up with another message. Keep the messages short, though, until she shows interest in continuing the conversations. Post Reply

The only thing about this site....... it will sometimes list someone as being online, when they are actually not. So don't feel bad if you don't get a response. She may not actually be online.
