What "floats your boat", "starts your motor runnin'", blesses your heart, and reflects your love of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit to others?
This question is for the guys too, a crossover question, K? We need a category titled: Ask Both the Guys and the Gals, huh?
I'm sure we all can give a lot of answers to this one. It's a five-part question. My answers:
Personal lifestyle:
Being a "barefoot guy" who loves God first, "barefoot gals" second, everyone else third and so forth "unto the Lord"; who strives each day to grow more in Christlikeness, fill my heart, spirit and life with the "fruit of the Holy Spirit" and offer it to others in my relationships with them, with the Holy Spirit's help. And I strive to be content in all circumstances, following Paul's example and encouragement. This, of course, is not as easy as it may sound or we would like it to be, but ... if Paul can do it ... I believe it's possible for all of us as we grow in Christlikeness and reach Paul's level of understanding and relationship with Christ, don't you?
What "floats my boat":
Besides the above, a good wife (make that a good "barefoot gal" wife) to "love to barefoot pieces!!!"; brownies; writing, editing, graphic designing, photography, songwriting; communicating, encouraging and inspiring others; helping however and wherever I can; horses, dogs; a baby's smiles and laughter; my "barefoot lover's" sighs of joy; giving and receiving massages and expressionns of love through Physical Touch!!! (my primary love language I've learned through Gary Chapman's "The Five Love Languages" book is Physical Touch, so NO BAREFOOT WONDER, huh?!!!), going to church and worshipping and praising God with the wife I dream of sharinng the rest of my life with, serving Him there and everywhere He leads us to serve Him together with her!!!
What "starts my motor runnin'":
Visiting my home state of Michigan again, and especially, the city where I was born, the Motor City: DETROIT!!!; classic cars of the 50s and 60s!!! (Love those tail fins etc!!!); a "barefoot gal" driving a classic convertible!!! (seriously!!!); those cool classic car commercials!!!; classic car events!!!
What "blesses my heart":
To read life stories about how God has blessed others, such as found in Guideposts, In Touch and Enjoying Everyday Life magazines!!!; a hug from a woman who loves me!!!; a hug from my nieces and little grand-niece!!!; having a woman who loves me bake my favorite dessert, brownies, to express her love for me!!!; to know how much God agape loves me!!!
What reflects my love of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit to others:
The loving ways I always strive to treat them on God's behalf, offering sacrificial and unconditional love!!!
Well ... there's my answers, everyone ... now it's your turn ...
For me I love alot of different things. I am like a dog with a bone. I get an idea in my head and read books, surf, the internet and find out everything I can about the subject. After I feel like I am comfortable. I move on to something else.
I attend CR (Celebrate Recovery) at my local church and feel humbled and honored to hear the women in my group tell their secrets and trust me with the information and watch them grow. Watch them become free from their past.
I truely feel called to work with women.
I love giving my resources to others. And helping people in anyway I can. I remember growing up and my mom hearing someone gossiping about someone's light being off etc. She would never engage in the convesation but would go and pay it...I do the same.
I am an avid movie watcher and critic. I like to watch alot of different things. Old Black and white movies, Kung fu movies, DC comic super hero cartoons movies...etc
I want to be a good wife when I get married and I study the subject, read books, listen to sermons read the word of God on this subject.
