How should TRUE LOVE be?Posted : 10 Oct, 2010 02:15 AMI was listening to "a barefoot precious memory" cassette I recorded back in July of 1993 at my granmother's house in my hometown of Detroit, Michigan, yesterday, which contained a "select" collection of country music favorites from my hometown's popular country music station that I loved to listen to when I visited in Detroit ... "WWWW ... W4 Country ... 106.7 FM ... our call letters are easy to remember because they're all 'W' ..." ... and on this cassette was my favorite Vince Gill hit from 1993 titled "Look At Us" ... which is a beautiful illustration of the demontration of true, lasting love. |

How should TRUE LOVE be?Posted : 10 Oct, 2010 03:48 AMWow, when you asked this question, I felt sad because I don't think I have witnessed much true love in my life. I guess I would have to say my ex-inlaws. They were married 65 years. I can honestly say I have never seen a man so devoted to his wife as my ex-father-in-law was to his wife until the day he went to be with the Lord!! The true love I have had in my life has been Christ's love for me, which I believe is the greatest example of true love!! |

How should TRUE LOVE be?Posted : 12 Oct, 2010 04:35 AMI think true love is an action verb. Yes, feelings are involved and important, but feelings ebb and flow. Much more than how one feels...it is what one does. It is comprised of commitment, faithfulness and selflessness. |
