Yet I have come across a good number of profiles where the marriage status is listed as" separated" and they are looking for a new partner. In my book" separated" = "still married" I will not answer messages from a separated lady or respond to her profile. Why are these women on this site; is it is more challenging to lure a man into adultery on this site than on a secular site? Why is CDFF allowing this? Your thoughts anyone? Post Reply
bcpianogal View Profile History	Married or Not, Christian or Not Posted : 1 Nov, 2010 06:12 PM I personally don't consider "separated" to be the same as "single", and I would never get involved with a guy who listed that as his marital status. I understand that some people are in the process of getting a divorce, and perhaps have been separated for years...they are ready to get back into the dating scene, but want to be honest about the fact that their divorce is not final. I appreciate their honesty. It is far better that the site allow them that honesty rather than requiring them to lie about their status. (Obviously, anyone can join, married or single, and lie about anything and everything on here...that's why we have to be careful and use discernment when communicating with people online.) Post Reply

For this reason alone I will not date someone separated. However, as I think Piano stated, they do still need friends, so I can understand why they would reach out to people here. Post Reply
