This is how it works: You find a Bible verse that contains (somewhere in it) the last word of the verse before yours.

The last post was: Judges 5:6

In the days of Sham'-gar the son of A'-nath, in the days of Ja'-el, the highways were unoccupied, and the travelers walked through byways.

Now, the next person to post finds a verse that has "byways" somewhere in it.

Jeremiah 18:5

For my people have forgotten me, they have burned incense to false [gods]; and they have been made to stumble in their ways, in the ancient paths, to walk in byways, in a way not built up;

I chose "built" as the word to follow.

So they put slave masters over them to oppress them with forced labor, and they built Pithom and Rameses as store cities for Pharaoh.

Exodus 1:22

And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast in the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.

Revelation 20:9

And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about , and the beloved city: and fire came down from heaven, and devoured them.

I am following "devoured"

In vain I punished your people; they did not respond to correction. Your sword has devoured your prophets like a ravenous lion."

Jeremiah 2:30

Ecclesiastes 9:4

For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope; for a living dog is better than a dead lion.

Good one, Chevy!

The Spirit of the Lord came upon him in power so that he tore the lion apart with his bare hands as he might have torn a young goat. But he told neither his father nor his mother what he had done.
