I feel old.

Not physically, I don't have any joint pain yet. (I'm looking forward to that, god willing) However, I talk to people my own age and I feel older, spiritually, mentally and emotionally.

It's weird to feel like that, but it's kind of a good feeling, because I know what I'm looking for and who I want to be, and how I want to better serve the Lord. Whether it's being a missionary or a stay at home wife and mother... I think the Lord will light my path.

My thoughts at the moment.

Why, y'all are just young whipper-snappers!

I can relate to feeling like an old soul spiritually, and I've felt this way since my late teens.

Perhaps some of us just "get it" earlier in life.

; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

Nehemiah 8:10

note: It was customary for God's people to remember the less fortunate .

When we are serving others we never tire Spiritually.

Haha, NRSV1953, you crack me up, calling us whipper-snappers. I never hear that anymore, that's too cool. I'm so glad, that you like my friends here, are also old spiritually.

ExceedingJoy, sorry as I think I might've been a little vague (I do that.) We all feel older spiritually, but not tired spiritually.

If anything, I feel more moved for the Lord, more alive as I can see how he works in people. I just don't like feeling like I can't relate, I suppose. I like finding that common ground with people, sometimes you just can't though. That is a beautiful scripture that you posted.

MsMarvel

I myself do not always relate well to some people.

And thank you, that Scripture came to mind.

Today I went to Church and the Pastor spoke on Paul and what excitement he had for the Lord; after the Lord met him on the Road. We all know that story ! lol

Anyway before Paul was named Saul and he did his job well, only he wasnt working for the Lord as Saul.

We should get excited about CHRIST many are excited about things of the World but only what we do for Christ will last.

:yay:

Hear, hear. Yes, the Lord had great plans for Saul. He has great plans for those who belong to him.

I better understand the point you were trying to make. I'm glad all of us can relate to not being able to relate, haha.

God bless you.

Proverbs, Talks about finding wisdom. Wisdom is better than choice silver and Gold.

Now wisdom is not education. It is a deep understanding of the world around us through the eyes of God.

As we fill our lives with Gods word, wisdom fills us. We mature in ways that those of this world will never know.

With maturity comes great strength. With strength comes Honor.

My Daughter is one such young woman. I am always proud of how she thinks about the world around her. As he Daddy we spent many walks together. My pouring into her the wisdom of God. Her study of Gods Word and my teaching her how to apply Gods word makes her a mature woman.

Maturuty is not of age but of mind. Of action. Of understanding.

You are mature due to your seeking the Kingdom of God.

Blessings,

Michael

I remember record players and when the remote was one of the younger children...And don't forget the TV knob, 8-track, black and white TV, and the bag phone.
