How we define ourselves

Whenever I meet people for the first time many times i noticed how what we do for a living will always come up as a way to break the ice. Maybe you have too, and i was just wondering 1) what it is about us that should define us, and 2) how to best convey that.

How should we define ourselves as people if we were to stop and think about it for a second?

There's an old story about a shoemaker who posted a sign in his shop stating, "I'm a servant of the Lord Jesus! I just fix shoes to pay the bills."

What a neat way to define oneself!

Good question!... everything about u , defines u. So what we do for a living is part of who we are. We live in a World of materialism where a job determines the living standard, places u might go, the type of ppl. u meet, some of the goals u aspire to pursue...etc.yet, this is only one thing about u.

I loved the shoemaker story. As Christians our main concern ought to be how& where we serve our Lord, and that is the BEST definition. At the end we seek the glory of the celestial.

Be blessed,

Phoebe.
