ARE WE STILL SINNERS??
Posted : 16 Jun, 2012 09:52 PM

I spoke with a Christian today who tried to tell me that since I am the righteousness of G-d I cannot sin I may miss the mark here and but if I think of myself as a sinner I can never be an overcomer. On the inside I filled-up with righteous anger then I softly answered I will not and know I will not go to hell when I die since February of 1991 but I guarantee you in the past 20 years I have sinned. And whether we like it or not we cannot know the depth of sin the wrong thought the wrong word, the wrong act that raises itself against G-d is sin!!! She said to me well we may miss the mark but still we are the righteousness of G-d. I replied to miss the mark is not just the Greek for the word sin but also in Hebrew. I have had salvation once and for all by the finished word of G-d (Y-shua) on the cross but for the past 20years and counting, however, He intercedes for me daylily (Hebrews). He is my high-priest that intercedes for me daily and because of Him His mercy is renewed every morning. Because of Him, Y-shua, those sins that so easily best me I have been able to set aside like Paul said to do, but the sins like I grumble about certain type of customers at work (humans are made in the image of G-d if I grumble about people I grumble about G-d we are His creation) are forgive daily because of Him. I could not believe that preachers have convinced her that we are sinless. Yet at the same time G-d told us that people will preach the gospel but deny the power thereof of!!!! Yes healing(physical), fiancs and so on is the power of G-d but the POWER OF THE GOSPIL is Y-eshua and the forgiveness of sin THE PAST, PRESENT and FUTURE!!!!! PRASE BE UNTO HIM THE CONTINUAL FORGINENESS OF IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is not a matter of sin, but a matter of who you are in Christ. No one that is in Christ is a sinner, and that response is of Jesus.

Amen Sister, it is true. There are many false teachers proclaiming a false gospel these days. If they were only taught to read God's word and to pray, they would see from his word their false doctrine.

Romans 7: 7 What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. For I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, "You shall not covet." 8 But sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, produced in me all kinds of covetousness. For apart from the law, sin lies dead. 9 I was once alive apart from the law, but when the commandment came, sin came alive and I died. 10 The very commandment that promised life proved to be death to me. 11 For sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, deceived me and through it killed me. 12 So the law is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good. 13 Did that which is good, then, bring death to me? By no means! It was sin, producing death in me through what is good, in order that sin might be shown to be sin, and through the commandment might become sinful beyond measure. 14 For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am of the flesh, sold under sin. 15 For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. 16 Now if I do what I do not want, I agree with the law, that it is good. 17 So now it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me. 18 For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me. 21 So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand. 22 For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being, 23 but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. 24 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? 25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.

As Paul tells us in Romans it is a spiritual warfare. We are to put on the whole armor of God and fight the good fight of faith.

Rom 13:11 Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed. 12 The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light. 13 Let us walk properly as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in quarreling and jealousy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.

Praise God he gives us the grace to fight the flesh, the world, and the devil.

Here is another thought, if you believe you are a sinner then you believe Jesus is a sinner.

There is no comprehension of who you are in Christ.

Sin in scripture is always synonymous with death.

Any person that thinks and believes that will sin continually, there faith is in Satan and not the lord.

Lames speaking to believers says

James 1:14 But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. 15 Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.

Donna surely you would not try to say, it is not possible to sin.

The question is are we still sinner's

Well if you believe you are sinner then maybe whosoever needs to repent and come to Jesus.

You need to get your answers from the word of by your spirit.

Jesus does not have a habitation with a sinner.

The father does not live with sin ever.

The Holy Spirit has nothing to do with sin.

You are correct in a sense Donna, about another Doctrine but you pointing the finger accusing one of being guilty of another doctrine when that one believes the Doctrine Jesus taught, the error is in not believing Jesus Doctrine.

The person in a lost state is a sinner, so you try telling Jesus the person he saved is till a sinner.

The error is with the mind and flesh subject not subject to the man that is not a sinner. The bible calls this be carnally minded and it is hatred to the lord.

so says pj.

Gods word from Paul to believers says,

Romans 1:1 Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God, 2 which he promised beforehand through his prophets in the holy Scriptures, 3 concerning his Son, who was descended from Davidaccording to the flesh 4 and was declared to be the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord, 5 through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of his name among all the nations, 6 including you who are called to belong to Jesus Christ, 7 TO all those in Rome WHO ARE LOVED BY GOD AND CALLED TO BE SAINTS: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 7: 22 For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being, 23 but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. 24 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? 25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.

There is a indwelling sin in us as believers our hearts are changed by God, but our flesh is not gone till we die. We are called to daily take up our cross and follow Christ. Believers will not be free of sin till we are glorified.
