Hello everyone;

The truthseeker is at it once again, making the sheeple to THINK about what they believe.

I hear a lot of people calling themselves pastor saying that it Is necessary for a person to do 3 things to be saved.

1. They need to know that they are 'sinners'

2. They need to confess their sins.

3. They need to repent of their sins.

IS this true?

I have been reading, studying and doing a little translating, but cannot find such a formula.

Here are some scriptures to help validate those three steps in being part of the process. You have to apply these scriptures with other scriptures to fully understand how salvation works. I want to add that those three things are not the full process of salvation but only three steps. I believe the modern church has weakened and water down what salvation truly is. When I have more time I'll round up more scriptures to help clarify the whole process. Have a blessed day.

..............................................................

Romans 10:10 Version (AKJV)

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

...............................................................

James 4:8 (AKJV)

8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

................................................................

1 John 1:9 (AKJV)

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

................................................................

Acts 3:19 (AKJV)

19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

Here's a few more scriptures that need to be taught about salvation. We can't deny Christ and we have to live Godly. We must separate ourselves from the world...

................................................................

Titus 2:11-13 (AKJV)

11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

................................................................

Titus 1:16 AKJV

16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

...............................................................

Mark 8:34 AKJV

34 And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

In addition to accepting Jesus as our Savior for our sins, if we are really born from above we will try to obey all the commands of the New Covenant with the hope of countless heavenly eternal rewards for faithful and loving service!!

**WE KNOW THAT WE HAVE COME TO KNOW HIM IF WE **KEEP HIS COMMANDS**!! I John 2:3

Matthew 28:18-20: Jesus says, "All authority in heaven and **ON EARTH** has been given to **ME**! Therefore go and make disciples of all nations... teaching them to **OBEY EVERYTHING I HAVE COMMANDED YOU**!! And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age!"

Hebrews 5:9 Jesus became the source of salvation for **ALL WHO **OBEY** HIM**!

James 1:22-25: Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves.**DO WHAT IT SAYS**! Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it--not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it--they will be blessed in what they do!

Luke 11:27,28: As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, "Blessed is the mother who gave You birth and nursed You." Jesus replied, Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and **OBEY IT**!"

I John 2:1-5: Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. We know that we have come to know Him **IF WE KEEP HIS COMMANDS**! Whoever says, "I know Him," but does not do what He commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. But if anyone **OBEYS HIS WORD**, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in Him!

John 14:21,23,24: Jesus says, "Whoever has My commands and **KEEPS THEM** is the one who loves Me... Anyone who loves Me will **OBEY MY TEACHING**, My Father will love them, and We will come to them and make Our home with them. Anyone who does not love Me will not obey My teaching.

I Corinthians 9:21: I am not free from God's law but **AM UNDER **CHRIST'S LAW**!!

John 15:10,14: Jesus says, "If you **KEEP MY COMMANDS**, you will remain in My love... My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends. You are My friends if you do what I command!!"

Acts 5:32: God exalted to Him to His own right hand as Prince and Savior that He might bring Israel to repentance and forgive their sins. We are witnesses to these things and so is the **HOLY SPIRIT**, **WHOM GOD HAS GIVEN TO THOSE **WHO OBEY HIM**!

I John 3:24: The one who **KEEPS GOD'S COMMANDS** lives in Him, and He in them And this is how we know He lives in us. We know it by the Spirit He gave us!!

John 5:2,3: This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and **CARRYING OUT HIS COMMANDS**. In fact, this is love for God: to **KEEP HIS COMMANDS**! And His commands are not burdensome!

Acts 22:14,15: Ananias said to Paul, "The God of our ancestors has chosen you to know His will and to see the Righteous One and to hear words from His mouth. You will be His witness to all people of what you have seen and heard!"

There are about 400 New Testament commands which God's saints should all strive to keep with the hope of countless eternal **REWARDS** for faithful and loving service!!

Revelation 22:12 Jesus says, Behold I am coming soon! My **REWARD** is with Me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done!

Matthew 16:27: Jesus says, The Son of Man is going to come in His Father's glory with His angels and THEN He will **REWARD** each person according to what he has done!"

John 16:12-14: Jesus says, "I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own, he will only speak what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify Me because it is from Me that he will receive what he will make known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from Me what he will make known to you!" {The Holy Spirit inspired all the words written in the New Testament by Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul, Peter, James and Jude!}

John 17:6,8: Jesus says, "I have revealed You to those whom You gave Me out of the world. They were yours, You gave them to Me and they have **OBEYED YOUR WORD**... For I gave them the words you gave to Me and they accepted them!

Luke 6:46-49: Jesus says, "Why do you call Me, 'Lord, Lord' and do not do what I say?? As for everyone who comes to Me and hears My words and **PUTS THEM INTO PRACTICE**, I will show you what they are like. They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. But the one who hears My words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete!"

John 12:48: Jesus says, "There is a judge for the one who does not accept My Words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them at the Last Day!"

Romans 6:17,18; But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to **OBEY FROM YOUR HEART** the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. You have been set free from sin and become slaves to righteousness!

I Peter 1:22-25: Now that you have purified yourselves by **OBEYING THE TRUTH** so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply from the heart. For you have been born again through the Living and Enduring Word of God... And this is the Word that was preached to you!

Hi Garoo, thanks for your reply.

May i say, that if you believe that salvationis a process depending upon what you do, then you do not understand Grace, or the Gospel.

I believe you are doing what the christians do, you have a works type of relationship that is void of Grace, forgiveness, mercy and the Cross.

**SALVATION IS 100% FREE** BUT ETERNAL HEAVENLY REWARDS ARE 100% EARNED**

Titus 3:3,4: At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness and **LOVE** of God our Savior appeared , He saved us, **NOT BECAUSE OF RIGHTEOUS THINGS WE HAD DONE**, but because of **HIS MERCY**!!

John 1:12,13: To all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, he gave the right to become children of God--children born not of natural descent, **NOR OF A HUMAN DECISION** or a husband's will but, **BORN OF GOD**!!

John 6:37,39,44,65: Jesus says, "**ALL** that the Father gives Me **WILL** come to Me, and whoever comes to Me I will **NEVER** drive away... And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that I shall **LOSE NONE** of all that He has given Me, but raise them up at the Last Day.... No one can come to Me **UNLESS** the Father who sent Me **DRAWS HIM**, and I will raise him up at the Last Day!!... No one can come to Me **UNLESS** the Father has **ENABLED THEM**!!"

Ephesians 2:8,9: For it is by **GRACE** you have been saved, through **FAITH**and this **NOT FROM YOURSELVES**, it is the **GIFT OF GOD**not by works. So that no one can boast. For we are **GOD'S WORKMANSHIP**, created in Christ Jesus to do **GOOD WORKS**, which God prepared in advance for us to do!

Romans 12:3: For by the **GRACE GIVEN ME** I say to every one of you. Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourselves with sober judgment, in accordance with the **FAITH GOD HAS DISTRIBUTED TO EACH OF YOU**... We have different gifts, according to the **GRACE GIVEN TO EACH OF US**!!

John 15:16: Jesus says, "You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit--fruit that will last!!

Romans 9:15,16,18: God says, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion." It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God's mercy...Therefore God has mercy on whom He wants to have mercy, and He hardens whom He wants to harden. {But God's saints still preach God's Word to everyone}

Revelation 17:14: They will wage war against the **LAMB**, but the **LAMB** will triumph over them because He is Lord of lords and King of kings--and with Him will be His **CALLED**, **CHOSEN** and **FAITHFUL** followers!

**AND SO SALVATION IS 100 PERCENT **FREE** but **ETERNAL REWARDS**ARE 100% **EARNED**!!

Ephesians 6:8: Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men, because you know that the Lord will **REWARD** everyone for what ever good he does!

Revelation 22:12 Jesus says, Behold I am coming soon! My **REWARD** is with Me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done!

Matthew 16:27: Jesus says, The Son of Man is going to come in His Father's glory with His angels and THEN He will **REWARD** each person according to what he has done!

Luke 11:33,34: Jesus says, "Sell your posessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a **TREASURE** IN HEAVEN** that will never fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. For where your **TREASURE** is, there your **HEART** will be also!"

Luke 14:13,14: Jesus says, "When you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be **BLESSED**. Although they cannot repay you you will be **REPAID AT THE RESURRECTION** of the righteous!"

2 Corinthians 5:9,10: We make it our goal to please Him... for we must all appear before the Judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

1 Corinthians 3:13-15: His work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man's work. If what he has built survives, he will receive his **REWARD**. If it is burned up he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames.

How to Win Heavenly CROWNS:

I Corinthians 9:24-27: Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes in to strict training. They do it to get a **CROWN** that will not last; but we do it to get a **CROWN THAT WILL LAST FOREVER**! Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize!

2 John 1:8: Watch out that you do not lose what you have worked for, but that you may be **REWARDED** fully!.

Revelation 3:11: Jesus says, I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your **CROWN**!

2 Timothy 4:7,8: I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the **CROWN** of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that dayand not only to me, but also to all who have longed for His appearing!

The **CROWN** of Life for those who persevere under trials and persecution:

James 1:12: Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the **CROWN OF LIFE** that God has promised to those who love Him!

Revelation 2:10 Jesus says, Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer... Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the **CROWN OF LIFE**!

Matthew 5:11,12: Jesus says, Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your **REWARD** in heaven!

Hebrews 10:32-36: Remember those earlier days after you had received the Light, when you stood your ground in a great contest in the face of suffering. Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated. You sympathized with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions. So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly **REWARDED**. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you receive what He has promised!

Gracenotworkssaves, you're welcome for the reply. I'm not sure how come up with the idea that I believe in works for salvation but I assure you I believe in Grace. The process I speak of is not physical works, it's all about the old man dying and the new creature taking it's place. If you consider humbling yourself, admitting you're a sinner, repenting of your sins, asking for forgiveness, truly believing in Jesus, accepting Jesus Christ into your heart, denying yourself in the flesh and following Christ in the spirit as works, well maybe you misunderstand what salvation truly is. With all due respect, if you consider that process as works then maybe you simply don't understand your Bible. Do you believe you can simply say "I accept you Jesus" and you're automatically saved and can live any old way you want to? If so, is saying "I accept you Jesus" not a work in your way of thinking? How do suggest we gain salvation?

Hi Garoo;

Salvation is not a PROCESS depending upon what a man or woman does such as repenting of sin, dying to self, etc. These are the results of having been saved, not to being saved. You and the Christians seem to believe that Sanctification is the means or PROCESS for salvation, when Sanctification always follows Salvation .

John 3 verses 15-John 3:14 - 18

John 3:15

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:17

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

John 3:18

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Mark 1 verses 12 - 15

Mar 1:11

And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Mar 1:12

And immediately the Spirit driveth him into the wilderness.

Mar 1:13

And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him.

Mar 1:14

Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

Mar 1:15

And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Messiah calls us to REPENT of UNBELIEF, as Unbelief is the root of ALL sin.

Is salvation without repenting of sin, and repenting of sin is a result of having been saved, OR, we can follow the instructions a little more carefully, as they are told.

When we believe there is no condemnation.

When we believe not, there is condemnation, AND, this is the token of that unbelief. The light is what we are to believe in, our eyes being enlightened, when we do evil, we do not believe in any light, because we love darkness rather than the light of Christ. The darkness sin doers do not come to that light of Christ to believe in Him, because to believe in Him, their deeds would need to be reproved(repented) A truth doer/seeker, comes to Christ in belief by having his deeds manifested, confessed, as the man believes in his heart unto righteousness.

John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Jesus says to believe in the Gospel, because evidently as old, cannot believe without that repenting. So you hear the word of truth(the parables of the righteous kingdom of Heaven)because as again told, you need the Gospel of your salvation for salvation, the Holy Spirit of promise or the promise of faith as told to Abraham. How are you going to believe without hearing the full Gospel? Christ also need to give unto us the Spirit of revelation in the KNOWLEDGE of Him, this is how your eyes can see and are enlightened, to know the full hope of His calling, the full riches of His grace and glory.

Mark 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Ephesians 1:17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

Th Gospel however is hid so men cannot believe, hidden in belief in works of darkness, preventing them from seeing that light of Christ now shining. They cannot see the KNOWLEDGE of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ..

2 Corinthians 4:2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

The question then, is there sanctification the moment of salvation/being saved? Yes, because they are cleaned through the word, by the hearing of faith, and the Holy Ghost is THAT SANCTIFICATION..

John 15:3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

Acts 4:4 Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.

Acts 10:44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

1 Thessalonians 2:13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

Hebrews 4:2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Romans 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

2 Thessalonians 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

There are those that say they believe GOD Almighty is the one that saves,BUT then they add a list of things to do in order for GOD Almighty to save then. If yhat is so, then why did Messiah go to the cross.

IF Salvation is by Grace alone thru faith alone,by the FINISHED work of Messiah alone, then why the do i need to know that i am sinful, confess my sin, and repent of sin, does that not happen after i have been saved, given life (ZOE), with a new heart.
