A interesting consideration?!

The only way I can see the whole Doctrine of a 'pre-chosen Elect' being slightly true is the bizarre statement found inGenesis chapter 6 and eluded to through out the rest of Scripture.

Basically Satan/fallen angels intermingled their DNA with mankind and animals through sexual relations. According to Scripture this happened before and after the flood. This definitely gives great meaning to the wheat & tares parable! :

["his enemy came and sowed[n]tares among the wheat,...Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field?[p]How then does it have tares?28And he said to them, An[q]enemy has done this!.....30Allow both to grow together until the harvest;.....gather up the tares... burn them up; butgather the wheat into my barn.]

It is interesting to note in chapter 4:1-2 "the man had relations with his wife... Gave birth to Cain ....Again gave birth to Abel" (no mention of "relations" between the two births; perhaps twins? Perhaps from different fathers?)

Chapter 5 gives a list of the descendants of Adam; Abel is not listed (he was killed and had no offspring), but why is Cain not listed? Perhaps Adam was not his biological father?

Hmmm.....???

Mark, I agree, a lot could of happened in that time. However as for the title "Sons of God" ; I think for a race that had lost its connection with God, supernatural beings from heaven would be called what? Take the Greek mythology for example; that is exactly what they did; calling them the sons of the gods.

My point was just that "Sons of God" is generally reserved for people who are following God. A race of fallen beings from heaven that were no longer following God, but were in active revolt against him, have never been called "Sons of God". So to me, they would either have to be unfallen angels that did this, or a race of humans that did follow God, were blessed by him, and had maintained much of their original perfection of body/mind/spirit, but began to intermingle with other humans(perhaps even "godly"/repentant humans) that had not always followed God and were weak and degenerate, but beautiful.
