Who is stupid?

In another thread, a member here claimed: "Yahweh wouldn't cause a person to Rebel~Resist against Him...because that's just plan stupid...and Yahweh is Righteous...not stupid"
Actually, the only thing that is stupid is denying the plain teaching of the Word of God in favor of one's own opinion!! :excited:
Rom 9: 15-23 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth. Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth. Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will? Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory.
Prov 21:1 [KJB:PCE] "The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD , as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will."
Would you like to see and understand how this process works? How did God cause Pharaoh to resist Him? He actively hardened Pharaoh's heart. Let's examine the example of Pharaoh. Please follow the progression in Exodus.
God's message to Pharaoh
Exodus 4:21-23 And the LORD said unto Moses, When thou goest to return into Egypt, see that thou do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in thine hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go. And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD , Israel is my son, even my firstborn: And I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay thy son, even thy firstborn.
NOTICE: God God hardens Pharaoh's heart causing him to resist and then commands Pharaoh to let Israel go.
Exod 4:21 [KJB:PCE]
And the LORD said unto Moses, When thou goest to return into Egypt, see that thou do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in thine hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go.
NOTICE: God hardens Pharaoh's heart causing him to resist.
Exod 7:3 [KJB:PCE]
And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.
NOTICE: Again, God said he hardens Pharaoh's heart causing him to resist.
Exod 7:13 [KJB:PCE]
And he hardened Pharaoh's heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.
NOTICE: Again, God said he hardens Pharaoh's heart causing him to resist.
Exod 7:14 [KJB:PCE]
And the LORD said unto Moses, Pharaoh's heart is hardened, he refuseth to let the people go.
NOTICE: The effect from the cause. Pharaoh's heart is now said to be hardened since God hardened it which caused him to resist.
Exod 7:22 [KJB:PCE]
And the magicians of Egypt did so with their enchantments: and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, neither did he hearken unto them; as the LORD had said.
NOTICE: The effect from the cause. Pharaoh's heart is now said to be hardened. Why? because God hardened it.
Exod 8:15 [KJB:PCE]
But when Pharaoh saw that there was respite, he hardened his heart, and hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.
Exod 8:32 [KJB:PCE]
And Pharaoh hardened his heart at this time also, neither would he let the people go.
NOTICE: Now it is said that Pharaoh hardened his own heart. Following your logic, you would claim that he had the ability within himself to do so. However, following what the Bible teaches we would understand CAUSATION. Stated plainly, it is said that Pharaoh hardened his own heart but as we can clearly see the ACTIVE CAUSE of this hardening was God and NOT Pharaoh and NOT Satan.
Exod 9:12 [KJB:PCE]
And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.
NOTICE: Again, it is said that God hardens Pharaoh's heart causing him to resist.
Believe His Word as it is written. Throw down your weapons you who speak against the Most High, repent, and bow down to His rule.
