paul links election with grace, not with works. this verse contrasts grace and works. if it is grace, it isn't works. if it is works, it isn't grace. whatever you believe election is, it isn't based on works or anything from us. it is based on grace, which is totally of God.

The Gospel is hid. We need to contend for the faith, because certain men preach/teach that we do not need to contend, who also turn the grace of Christ into self seeking lust, they even promote the very name only, they were then very much ordained, ordained ministers to this condemnation, they deny Christ in works as told, after they confessed Him, to the good works they are morally abandoned, even though they speak of righteousness and seem to speak right things, but hear the testimony then, the Lord did once save them out of Egypt, but afterwards destroyed those who did not believe, so thy received grace, but afterwards did not be worthy of it and lost it. Everyone read with me, I think it is simple enough below, by disobedience many died in sins, Christ had to do obedience to make us righteous too. Sin was in control, but Grace was stronger to defeat sin. We served sin reigning within us to our own deaths, now we read, GRACE REIGNS THROUGH RIGHTEOUSNESS. to eternal life.

Matthew 18:21,22: Peter asked Jesus, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive **MY BROTHER** who sins against me?" Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times but seventy seven times!" {77 times can also be translated 70 times 7 or 490 times!!}
**IF WE DO NOT ASK THE FATHER IN JESUS NAME TO FORGIVE US OUR SINS AND REPENT OF OUR SINS GOD WILL DISCIPLINE US**!!
Revelation 3:19: Jesus says, "Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline, so be earnest and repent!!"
Hebrews 12:5-11: Do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when He rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines those He loves, and He chastens **EVERYONE** {Like Peter and David} He accepts as a son! Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as His children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? IF YOU ARE NOT DISCIPLINED AND **EVERYONE** UNDERGOES DISCIPLINE--THEN YOU ARE NOT LEGITMATE--NOT TRUE SONS AND DAUGHTERS AT ALL**!! Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live! They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in His holiness. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it!
Vanity is in the mind of the gentiles, without understanding, (because a good understanding have all they who do His commandments)..Psalm 111:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

Ephesians 4:17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
20 But ye have not so learned Christ;
21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:
22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
Jesus shows we need to have life within us, knowing deeply His blood gives us that life, of the Word of life, speaking better things than the words of death, which are all other words, we need Christ to dwell in us in righteousness and that is us living in Him too..
2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
The Son lived by the Father, and we do not live unless through the Son, being in us and we in Him to be made the righteousness of God in Him. The Word is Spirit and life, we believe in these and we have thse in us, or we have nothing in us, no Spirit and death. No man can come to Christ this way, unless given by the Father, this is His Grace, many disciples went away because they were offended by this way..

The Father does the works, the Son in the Father and the Father in Him, showing again, if the Son is in us and we are in the Son we also do the same, and the Father does His works the same, as when we do believe, we do those works and greater works too by the Father..
John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
The Father is not God unto us, until He writes His law of the Son, of Christ, the law of loving your neighbour, in our inward parts and in our hearts, and then we can be the Sons and daughters of God, God dwell in us, as the Kingdom of Heaven i within us, but He is only God to us when He can walk in us, when we are Holy, or God cannot be there, so we are told, come out and be separate and touch no longer unclean, then the Lord receives us, so it is not work of righteousness we have done, it is all through the Lord God entirely,, who also shows us we have the work of the law showing in our hearts, because they do so by the love of God..
