He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting *DESTRUCTION* and shut out from the presence of the Lord *ON THE DAY HE COMES* to be glorified in His holy people and to be marveled at among **ALL** those who believed. This includes *YOU* {Church of Thessalonians}, because you believed our testimony to you !! These inspired Words of God in I Thess 1:1,6-10 absolutely contradict the Preterist, Historist and Pre-Trib positions since in guarantees that the Thessalonian church saints will be resurrected on the *SAME DAY* as all the lost which would of course has to take place on the Last Day of the Great Tribulation. Matthew 24:29-31 16:27; 25:31-46 below also completely contradict the Preterist, Historist and Pre-Trib positions: Matthew 24:29-31: Jesus says, �Immediately after the distress of those {1260} days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light and the stars will fall from the sky.� {Luke 21:28 adds �When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.�} Then the nations will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory. EVERYTHING THAT THIS "PROPHET" PROMOTES HERE IS PREDICATED ON FAULTY PRESUPPOSITIONS AND NOT SCRIPTURAL EXEGESIS!! :bouncy: I'm not sure how you mean to use this to promote whatever your view is. There were many saints resurrected during the last days of Christ on the earth, and I would presume that they were taken to heaven. You may need to speak to Peter and Paul, etc if you're denying the second coming or the tribulations, etc. It's not just spoken of in revelation. In Matt 24:34, the definition for the word translated as "generation" is not just "10-30 years", it can mean the entirety of mankind living at a given time, so in context, Jesus is saying that the people living during these signs and wonders will see them all come to pass before the end, and that makes a lot of sense when compared to the rest of scripture. I would be interested in hearing your views on the matter. Whatever your disagreements with Prophet are, I'm not sure, but what do you believe about the New Jerusalem, the recreation of the earth, the second resurrection of the wicked, etc? I've heard some say that the believers will rule the world with Christ, etc...something about how through might and power, God will rule the wicked for a while before destroying them, but that and other similar beliefs are so much like what the Jews were expecting Jesus to do that I'd simply shy away from it for that reason, not even considering all the bible verses about the second coming, and going to heaven, and the destruction of the wicked, the new earth, etc. I'm not sure what Prophet is trying to say, but the truth is simple this. Jesus went away, and He is preparing a place for us where He went. He ascended to His father, who dwells in heaven, to prepare "The New Jerusalem". The New Jerusalem does not come to the earth until after the 1000 years in heaven. The New Jerusalem is our inheritance with Christ, and the main reason it is referred to as a "bride adorned for her husband" is because the church, the bride of Christ, will be dwelling in it. We also have a few examples in Moses and Elijah, they and many others are in heaven already. Paul speaks of us sitting in judgment of the angels, which is described in revelation during the 1000 years in heaven. The wicked will be destroyed by the brightness of His coming, the earth will be desolate and "resting" for 1000 years before the judgment and before God recreates the planet. The earth is waxing old like a garment because it was thrown out of harmony by sin and the flood, will we not "reign" in this fallen place until after it is made new. "For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
