Neglect of God's Word, Prayer, Corporate Worship, and Fellowship. These are the means Christ has provided for His chuch to be grounded in truth and to grow in Spiritual maturity.

Acts 2:42 NKJV

If we neglect them, we'll become pray to all sorts if deception and temptations.

@LittleDavid;

No, this is my argument:

"the words of our Saviour are soooo very clear. We have ONE teacher, ONE leader; Christ / Messiah. PERIOD!"

But, I'm glad we agree on the other things 👍

Cupcake,

I'm not sure how to engage a person who thinks they know it all because they only listen to what their Pastor teaches them.

Or engage a person who thinks the Scriptures can only be understood from a English 'translation' of Hebrew and Greek.

And when such a person accuses others of being prideful for following the teachings of Jesus rather than men and then states othets don't understand the Word.....Well....I'm at a loss on how to deal with such a person.....I don't think I can help you. Have a nice day. You're the epitome of the saying; "Ignorance is bliss".

No I never claimed to know it all. But I am a Believer and I know what God's Word teaches.

And I am not too proud to be taught by a Saved Pastor or teacher of the Gospel .

That's More than I can say for you Sadlup.

By the way I listen to the Holy Spirit and He tells me it's alright to attend a church and be taught by a Saved Pastor.

Be careful who you call ignorant, Sadlup. You cannot be lead.

Hi David, after your mommy taught you how to use a knife and fork to cut your steak, do you still need her instructions on the matter today.

The same is with the Word of GOD Almighty.

The sheeple need to be taught how to read, study, and to translate.

When this happens the sheeple are able to gather together to DISCUSS the Word TOGETHER.

The reason this is not the norm is the enemy of GOD Almighty uses the self proclaiming pastors to keep the sheeple ignorant.

One way is to tell the sheeple that a little knowledge of Hebrew and Greek is dangerous, where as i believe NO understanding of Hebrew and Greek is dangerous.

I would rather drive with a person that has a year of driving experience, then someone without any experience at all.

Building a strong foundation is very important in all areas of this life, without a strong foundation whatever is being built crumbles over time.

The same goes for the Word.

By the way, the ELDERS ( plural, have the oversight of a group of believers, not a pastor singular).

1 Peter 5 verses 1-4

1Therefore, I exhort the elders among you, as [your] fellow elder and witness of the sufferings of Christ, and a partaker also of the glory that is to be revealed,

2 shepherd the flock of God among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion, but voluntarily, according to [the will of] God; and not for sordid gain, but with eagerness; 3 nor yet as lording it over those allotted to your charge, but proving to be examples to the flock.

4 And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.

Cupcake,

Before taking offense as you often do, please look up the definition for the word "ignorant".

You claim to know, but what you claim disagrees with Scripture. You claim to study the Word, but what you claim disagrees with it.

Sorry, Cupcake, but I can reach no other conclusion that you do not know but are fine thinking you do.

What do you want me to say? Actually, if you knew the Words of Jesus there is a verse you could quote to support your view. However you miss it because you are as most obsessed with Paul.

Does the following sound like it should be :

A) Jesus

B) Some man/woman

pastor (n.)

late 14c. (mid-13c. as a surname), "shepherd," also "spiritual guide, shepherd of souls," from Old French pastor, pastur "herdsman, shepherd" (12c.), from Latin pastorem (nominative pastor) "shepherd," from pastus, past participle of pascere "to lead to pasture, set to grazing, cause to eat," from PIE root *pa- "to feed; tend, guard, protect." The spiritual sense was in Church Latin (e.g. Gregory's "Cura Pastoralis"). The verb in the Christian sense is from 1872.

Believers follow scripture and are humble enough to be taught by a pastor called by God.

Try praying 🙏
