Does your Church practice biblical discipline as prescribed by the Lord(Matt 18:15-20)?

My Church doesn't even come close and sadly it is evident:(

Matthew 18:15-20

Mat 18:15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.

Mat 18:16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

Mat 18:17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

Mat 18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Mat 18:19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

Mat 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

This is set-up as a courtroom setting.

Notice,no mention of a so-called senior pastor,no so- called worship band.

Just the individual believers and their responsibility to one another.

Yeshua onersees the whole adjenda.

He uses the individual believers, and the body to bring discipline to His people,to show that He loves them, and to bring a person to turn from their ways..

Most of the body of Yeshua have been told that this is the Scripture to show the so-called church worship service..

Shalom

This scripture is refering to; like a set up of a courtroom.

Our Pastor does have some type of biblical discipline, with counseling the persons in need of it.

That's always good to hear when a Church holds a high view of Holiness in the body. People unfortunately think its mean or judgmental to do so, but I believe they have a wrong view of what the Lord meant when He warned us of judging others. In a nutshell, he meant hypocritically.

1 Corinthians chapter 5 is pretty clear about the purity of the Church, not the world.

Vs 12-13 "for what have I to do with judging outsiders? Do you not judge those who are within the Church? But those who are outside, God judges. Remove the wicked man from among yourselves."

To see just how serious the Lord is about it, just read about Ananias and Sapphira - Acts 5: 1-11

The whole point is to "restore " the brother/sister(Gal 6:1, Matt 18:15) for their sake and for God's glory.

I love accountability because I need it so much:)

AMEN, living holy as he is holy needs much grace from our father, and encouragement of the brotherhood.

Shared ~ To see just how serious the Lord is about it, just read about Ananias and Sapphira - Acts 5: 1-11

1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,

2 And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet.

3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

5 And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.

6 And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.

7 And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in.

8 And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.

9 Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.

10 Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.

11 And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.

*** Not only did they "Decieve & Lie" to them selves being "Greedy"...they "Decived & Lied" to the Apostles and the Holy Spirit...NOT a "Good" thing...I've mentioned to some people that "ya can lie to me all ya want...BUT...when ya Lie to Yourself and God...ya got a Real BIG Problem there...:prayingf:

*** Gal 6:1~ Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, [ restore ] such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

Mat 18:15~ Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.

*** "Restoration" of Sinfulness...Turning Away from it...Forgiving the sinner...and reminding to walk and live in Holiness in Christ Jesus is taught and preached in my Church...We are accountable to God 1st and foremost...

*** We all do...especially me...xo
