The Dialectic Church

Only
after listening to Dean Gotcher have I fully realized that Satan was
the first "psychotherapist" or facilitator of the dialectic and took
over much of man's fleshly nature, which includes self-esteem as
pride, as Gotcher emphasizes, "the lust of the flesh, and the lust of
the eyes, and the pride of life" I John 2: 16.
In being born again in
Christ, we should put our lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and
pride back under the direction of the Lord, and not under what we
think is our direction but is mostly that of Satan. In fact, the Lord does not think much of our self-esteem or pride. The Hegelian and
Marxist dialectic, as developed by the Frankfurt School people posting
as psychologists and by American shrinks like Carl Rogers and Abraham
Maslow, and in the early encounter group, builds up and makes the lust
of the flesh and the pride of life so dominant and valued that Satan
stirred up in Eve in Genesis 3: 1-6.
Psychology over-emphasizes and makes all important man's flesh, and follows or supports the Transformational Marxist bent which wants to overthrow God as the Father figure and wans to diminish the family because the traditional family has been the foundation of Christianity, and its patriatrical paradigm, "it is written," "two plus two is always four and cannot be another number," etc. Psychoanalysis from Freud stresseed the flesh and advocated a revolt against the Father authority figure. Behaviorism in psychology, from Wundt, to Watson and to B.F. Skinner with his Skinner box psychlogy all pointed toward a reduced man who is nothing but desires, feelings and conditioning
Dean Gotcher has studied several other psychologists and psychiatrists who have helped to develop the dialectic which first came from Hegel. He has lectures on psychiatrist and group therapist Irvin Yalom, Erick Fromm,
Norman O. Brown and Herbert Marcuse, who is more like a sociologist than a psychologist.
Gotcher says the Mega Church movement cannot exist without the "church
dialectic." That is, psychologized transformational Marxism invaded
the American church a few decades ago.
Christian Zionism or
dispensationalism cannot flourish without the dialectic. On several Christian forums that i have been on the followers of Christian Zionism often sidestep one's position and attack it from the side, and use other tactics of the dialectic as developed from Hegel, the Frankfurt School of Theodore W. Adorno and perfected in the Group Dynamics and encounter group movements after the fifties in this country.
There are other false doctrines - Hebrew Roots, the Sacred Name theology, Christian Identity and Messianic Judaism - which all make use of the chosen people myth in some way. And the people in these theologies also tend to make use of the dialectic in promoting and defending their theologies. Other false theologies have been around for a while too like the prosperity teachings which use the dialectic. The dialectic is everywhere in our culture, including in the churches.
