Paul's example was the false teaching of the Jews who taught the keeping of the Jewish Law. Maintaining vigilants against a vague hypothetical false doctrine borders on paranoia. :waving:

My point is God's design in restoring the man in 2 Cor 2:6-8, "This punishment which was inflicted by the majority is sufficient for such a man, so that, on the contrary, you ought rather to forgive and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one be swallowed up with too much sorrow. Therefore I urge you to reaffirm your love to him." The difference of being overtaken in a fault vs preaching false doctrines is a fine line. Pauls condemnation was towards the religion of the Jews that are anti Jesus Christ much like Jews today that deny Jesus is the Christ. Some of the Catholic doctrines also, have proved over the years to be false. Excommunication would be a last resort for the Matt. 18 process of removing someone from fellowship. But it should not violate the spirit of Acts 15 which describes what new non Jewish believers should observe. :purpleangel:
shepherdingking View Profile	"ROLES: MEN & WOMEN" Posted : 12 Sep, 2012 09:00 PM MEN AND WOMEN ARE CREATED IN THE IMAGE OF GOD, MALE AND FEMALE.In other words we are the reflection or the image of the masculine/feminine nature of God. We are the copy, not the original. The masculine/feminine nature of God reveals the objective attributes of the male nature and the subjective nature of the female. Men provide the raw material women turn it into something beautiful. I have tried to be a housewife/homemaker during emergencies. But most everyone involved seemed to agree women make better moms. They are naturally caring and feel the pain of others with little effort. One thing for sure though, the masculine and feminine nature of God is always in agreement with one another. There is unity in the Godhead and we created in this image should also be like minded with one another.

"For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the PASSION OF LUST LIKE THE GENTILES who do not know God; that no one transgress and wrong his brother in this matter, because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as we told you beforehand and solemnly warned you."(1Thess.4:3-6).

" is strong language here, Paul is basically saying God-dam those preaching another gospel. This false gospel was the Judaizers demanding adherence to the law rather than salvation by faith. :waving:

My question, is how do you remove the marks you put on someone who disagrees with your understanding of the Word (Law). Is not the justification for shunning and marking another, in this way, meant to be an act of mercy? And bring them to repentance? The bible says there will be differences among you. Make sure "YOUR" truth is not just an honest difference of opinion.:waving:

The pshyco theapy products/methods attempt to steal from God and Christian ministers the job of caring for the soul of man. But the dialectic church using the synthesis instead of antithesis thought invites the world spirit not the Holy Spirit. And we should be in the world but not part of it (dialectic).

Otherwise the man would become the "way" for a woman to find God. But 1 Cor 7:16 suggests an unbelieving man might even be saved through his wife. Therefore they are at least equal in that respect. "God has called us to peace. 16 For how do you know, O wife, whether you will save your husband? Or how do you know, O husband, whether you will save your wife?" (1 Cor 7:15b-16). Abigail was a good wife for David. "He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the LORD." Proverbs 18:22 Her husband was a dead man one way or another. But Abigail saved David from committing murder and became his wife. She worked on behalf of God's overall plan for a Godly seed and the Son of David. Men and women are both divine creations, God's likeness. Man is both male and female in God's image. A Woman is Man (humankind). Therefore a woman has a "Spiritual Man" inward and a female body. A woman's (sensual) body should not speak in the church. But a Spiritual man, as a woman, can and do. Some women are very manly. And some men are not. God makes things right. Romans 4:17, "the God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were." :purpleangel:
