Admin	PLEASE BE NICE TO EACH OTHER...PLEASE! Posted : 5 Nov, 2012 09:36 PM As everyone here knows, I am not perfect, far from it actually. I've made more mistakes than I should have in life, and still find myself making them as well. *wipes bloody nose* You could say I love the Lord and Son dearly because I do. I've found that I've been too preachy in the past and even though many times I've been correct spiritually, it hasn't been well received. Perhaps my delivery? (no one likes a cold pizza right?) These days I usually like to just share things with people that I've had problems with. Recognizing a problem is the first step to getting it fixed right? As embarrassing as some of my mistakes are, if someone else can see some short-coming in me, perhaps they can recognize that short-coming in their own walk with the Lord? This is not to point out others faults or condemn them, just to express that there are pits that we should all try and avoid. As I told a dear friend recently, if we were walking down the street together and I saw a pit that I've stumbled into from time to time, would I let that person fall into it or warn them to walk around it? Maybe even display some of my own scars (bloody nose) to show how dangerous that pit can be? I'm not sure if this is making any sense to anyone but...we can grow from our weaknesses and faults. I never wanted any of my posts to be a source of conflict between brothers and sisters, it seems as if people are so ready to jump on each other at the slightest hint of 'impropriety' as it were. If all we can do is accuse each other and point out each others short-comings without fixing our own, what blessing is there? We are representing Christ here people. We are HIS ambassadors to the world. Let's start to act like it. Please, for the love of the Father and Son, please, please, please stop bickering. It really makes me sad (and I'm sure it makes the Lord and Christ sad as well) seeing the spiritual fist fights going on. It dishonours the family of Christ. It does no credit to our fellow brothers and sisters. Let's stop doing the enemy's job of accusing. Doing his job is serving him, essentially making him your lord and king. There is a BIG DIFFERENCE between being RIGHT and knowing the TRUTH, versus being RIGHTEOUS and LIVING IT. Food for thought! Since Adam and Eve hid from God because of their shame people hide.....Hiding behind many things including truth. Your honesty is commended and your honesty is a witness against their hiding. So where do you figure I was speaking of you.( speaking in a gentle tone) If the shoe fits wear it and if it does not then dont. Ether way I was making a general statement concerning only one acpect where people hide i know because I have been guilty of such a thing. Your reaction to this statement tells me volumes though.Rather than rejecting it why not get before God and ask Him if you are doing shuch a thing and be still and listen to His Spirit. Many very nice well intentioned believers have left this forum for this exact reason. Speaking for myself, I used to be more active on the site as well, but one grows weary of all the strife. I don't understand how one can witness to an unbeliever if they are so intolerant of those in the faith. Just to let you know many feel the same way, and I would like to see some of the others return and maybe they would if they were respected and edified by others. Post Reply

Posted : 7 Nov, 2012 10:44 AM I think there are enough verses where the bible makes it plain that we are supposed to be humble and meek and gentle and peaceful and harmless and loving and wise and patient and long suffering and merciful to everyone, even to enemies, and especially to those that claim the name of Jesus. The bible does also say that we are supposed to judge and put out open and willing sin in the church, and that we're supposed to rebuke and correct error in doctrine. I believe it's possible, as shown by many verses and examples of people in the bible, to have both of those attitudes in a way that is edifying both to our soul, other believer's souls, the church body, and to people looking in from the outside. We should be at a point in our regard to other people, that when an unbeliever looks into our "living faith", they see love and truth, instead of bickering and condemnation.
