The church can not be comforted with false teaching.
1st Thess 4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
1st Thess 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
1st Thess 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
1st Thess 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1st Thess 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
1st Thess 4:18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Scripture tells us....13Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming. Matthew 25:13
It is possible that when the armies gather against Jesus and wait that they will not know the day and hour He is coming right? and the believers alive will not know, right?
Its like your waiting for a package. You are in anticipation right? " Watch therefore" then the package avives and the day is revealed.
Why make it into more than it really is?
Think about it though. What greater thing to anticipate. Christians dont really live in anticipation of Christs return do they?
Here is the end of the Tribulation and those who had the faith to make it through without taking the mark. Knowing the end is soon but not the day or the hour will live in the greatest anticipation than anyone ever lived, right?
They see Jesus coming through the clouds watching the dead raised first knowing they will soon be raised after.
Some will be sleeping and some will be working. Some will be taken and some will be left.
But Christ will be revealed on a day and a hour that no one knows yet until that day comes, right?

No not right we are not talking about his second coming the topic is the rapture of the church.
'
why be accurate because because it could be eternal damnation for those led astray.
that (((((((we))))))) who are alive and remain. -Who are these?-
until the (((((((coming))))))) of the Lord - what comming?-
will by no means precede those who are asleep.
16For the Lord Himself will (((((((descend))))))) from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. - when is this happening?-
And the dead ((((in Christ)))))) shall rise first. - when is this happening?-
17Then (((((we who are alive))))) and remain -whos the we?-
shall be (((((caught up together)))) with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. - when is this?-
And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18Therefore comfort one another with these words.
TC, are you separating the ones that are "sleeping" in Jesus and the ones that are "dead" into two separate groups?
"These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep. Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well. Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep. Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead."
"For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming....Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."
