Rebellion is intentional defiance to authority...many don't like to be told what to do...so they resist doing it...usually with a bad attitude.

Yes, the American Revolution was rebellion against the authorities exercised by the King of England. I believe God approved of the rebellion...at least He blessed the country that formed because of that rebellion...237 years later, it may be showing it's age, but it's still pretty sound.

It depends on the motivations. During the revolution, the King of England went against his own promises, and attempted to forcefully silence and suppress and disarm the people who complained about it. I'm not sure God necessarily blessed the conflict, but he definitely blessed the principles the new country was founded upon, it was a huge reformation from what previous governments were built on. I'm sure he would have preferred if we could have all come to a loving and considerate agreement for the good of everyone, but every once in awhile, when evil/tyranny starts to try to control people unjustly, I think it's necessary to fight it, tho not always violently. I wouldn't say that it's happening again quite yet though.

Rebellion, This first began in the beginning with God and the eating of the fruit. In Gods commands His first one is to not have any Gods before Him, right? All other commands hinge on this very one because they hinge on the reality of a loving God.

God is love and rebellion against a sinfilled ruler is not rebellion at all. We know that in the Old testiment God commanded His people to destroy other peoples, right? Why?

Due to their wickedness. You see if a government is fulfilling its leadership by following after God and loving its people their is no need for rebellion is there?

Our govenrment is corrupt and even though I am not a conspiricy kind of guy I see the day coming when rebellion to the government will increase more and more. It has to happen due to the entitlement attitude that is being bred in this country. When more and more people are given free benefits without any responsibility, they want more and more.

This downward spiral can only lead to one place. Us as a third world country. When you take resources from those who work hard for them and give them to another who does not what happens? More and more people look to be dependent on a government. The govenrment has no real resources in its self. They all come from industry through taxation.

What happens when the government gos to deep into a corporations wallet? They can not sustain the corporation any more. What happens to the employees? They look to government assistance. What happens when their is more individuals in need of government assistance than taxs to support their lives?

Rebellion......

Isaiah 65: 21 They will build houses and live there.

They will plant vineyards and eat fruit from them.

22 They will not build homes and have others live there.

They will not plant and have others eat from it.

My people will live as long as trees,

and my chosen ones will enjoy what theyve done.

23 They will never again work for nothing.

They will never again give birth to children who die young,

because they will be offspring blessed by the LORD.

The LORD will bless their descendants as well.

24 Before they call, I will answer.

While theyre still speaking, I will hear.
