Excellent article, but i am sure it is way to long who are only use to sermonettes.

But this is great truth.

"Sooner or later, every child grows up and realizes that Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy are myths. It is not our fault we believed those silly stories. We were told by the ones we trusted to believe in them. As a child, whenever I lost a tooth, I put the tooth under my pillow and went to sleep believing the Tooth Fairy would take my tooth away and deposit a coin in its place. And sure enough, every time I woke up in the morning I would find a bright shiny quarter.

One day, however, the tooth fairy stopped coming. Why? I had grown up. My knowledge increased. I was no longer so gullible to believe in such silly stories.

When you started reading this page, you may have been a believer in Ellen White. You believed what you were told by those whom you trusted. You believed something because you had only been told half the story--the half that made it appear she was a prophet. Now you know the full story. You have grown up. The time has come to walk away from the fairy tales of childhood. They served you well, for a time, but when the truth comes, the fairy tales lose their luster. You are no longer satisfied with fairy tales. You want the truth.

You may be upset. You may be disappointed. You may be asking yourself, "How could I be so gullible to believe such stories?" Remember, it is not your fault. You were doing the best you could do based upon the incomplete information you were given. You cannot change the past. But you can change the future. You can share with others the truth you have learned on this page. You can continue studying to find out how many more of your beliefs are based upon myths. Jesus promised,

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." (John 8:32)"

As one speaking from the inside, that site is pretty ridiculous and uneducated. Perhaps I have only heard one half of the story on Ellen White, but that site is also only portraying one half of the story, which renders it biased propaganda. The very first test speaks something which is unbiblical, that "prophecies must come to pass".

"Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away."

The bible has many prophecies that prophets spoke to the people which didn't come to pass, because they were conditional prophecies. There are also many prophets, like Balaam, who were called and used as prophets by God, yet were not truly converted, and in the case of Balaam, he died with the pagans he tried to support. The rest of the tests are basically hear-say and doctrinal disagreement, filled with fallacious debate tactics. "Oh, there was this quote, but it was taken down and we can't find it anymore", "we found this third party letter that said some stuff", "if anyone disagrees with what we said on this site, they're obviously brainwashed", and the best one, "we consider some things that are taught by the SDA church to be judgmental". Yeah, people do say that about every christian denomination.

So, the bottom line is, if you want to understand something honestly, don't go to the people that hate it. How accurate and unbiased would you consider a description of the United States of America coming from a terrorist who wants to destroy the country? Would you more readily trust a description from a citizen of the country who has experienced the negatives and positives first hand? Billy Graham accepted Adventists as fellow Christians, that would be an unbiased source in my opinion.

Bottom line is, I've been here a long time. This is not even close to the first time someone has tried to discredit me using ad hominem attacks. All it says to me is they're having difficulty dealing with me in honorable fashions and they must first attempt to discredit me by other less savory methods.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seventh-day_Adventist_Church

"God has children, many of them, in the Protestant churches, and a large number in the Catholic churches, who are more true to obey the light and to do to the very best of their knowledge than a large number among Sabbath-keeping Adventists who do not walk in the light. {3SM 386.2}"

By your own judgment, your view is biased propaganda.

Your own opinions (which often disagree with Scripture) which you have expressed here many many times are what discredits you. The website in the OP discredits Ellen White.

Yes, I was indeed admitting that I may be promoting biased propaganda, I believe I even said that. However, I know what adventism is, having been an adventist for quite some time, and I'm well aware of the positives and the negatives, just like in any other denomination. When a website is ridiculous, totally negatively biased, and filled with flat out misrepresentations and half-truths/half-quotes, that tells me a lot. It's your typical ad hominem attack website that spouts propaganda while giving no opportunity for self-defense or any balanced treatment to their victim. It's slander and false witness, and not even good slander, if there is such a thing. I could post 100 similar websites about how evil Ronald Reagan was, or about how stupid and ignorant Christians are for believing in the bible, or about how the world is flat, and I'm sure you would think they were equally silly.

Psalms 101:5

Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, him I will destroy; No one who has a haughty look and an arrogant heart will I endure.

Psalms 15:1-3

O LORD, who may abide in Your tent? Who may dwell on Your holy hill? He who walks with integrity, and works righteousness, And speaks truth in his heart. He does not slander with his tongue, Nor does evil to his neighbor, Nor takes up a reproach against his friend;
