Train up a Child

If you dont raise your children up to serve the Lord you will not do them any favor. They see everything you do in life and try to emulate the way you live.

MATTHEW 6:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

You dont necessarily have to have kids to be a good influence on them. They will look at you to know how to be an adult. How you live teaches our youth how to act as they mature. So even as you mature you need to be a good influence on others.

MARK 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

Human suffering is caused by a choice someone made; Sin is what caused the suffering that came upon the earth. When Adam took a bite of whatever fruit that was he caused the suffering of us all.

JOHN 15:12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

Evil causes harm, love causes compassion you cannot find any evil thing that is not caused by sin. If you never tell your children of God and how He sent Christ to die for our sins you are keeping life from them. Once we ask for salvation the love of God does not see our sin from before, now, and forever.

When people dont think of their well being they will cause generations from now problems. The well being you feel effects your life as well as others.

PROVERBS 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Here is a sample prayer if you're not saved today ask God for salvation in Jesus Christ's Name. Saying this prayer is a way to declare to God that you are relying on Christ for your salvation.

The words themselves will not save you. Only faith "full belief" in Jesus Christ can provide salvation.

Dear Heavenly father I know that I have sinned against you and am deserving of punishment. But Christ took the punishment that I deserve, so that through faith in Him I could be forgiven?"

"Jesus Christ, with your help I place my trust in you for salvation, and I ask that you will forgive me of my sins. I thank you for your wonderful grace and forgiveness.

Go tell a Christian church you have asked Christ for salvation and go to Sunday school you'll find fellowship and the study of the bible to be a great help as you grow as a Christian.

This paragraph is very true. We often forget there are younger ones looking at how we live and the decisions we make. we wonder why the kids throw temper tantrum, cuss out another kid, or are violent...they are following in the footsteps of their parents, guardians, other adults.

Even working with kids an hour a week can help them learn better ways of behavior...I have seen changes in children in the ministry I serve in over time.

When I have disciplined my nephews who have spent much time with me, i tell them if I didn't love you, I wouldn't punish you...you have to learn correct behavior to get along in life!
