The fool has spoken and out of his mouth he has condemned Jesus Christ himself. :dunce: His followers have cheered in agreement. :dunce: :toomuch:
The fool who speaks against Christ has boldly proclaimed: "The blind leading the blind are those false teachers who have to always copy others teachings because they lack faith of their own. They copy and past long writings of others and say I agree with this and that is what makes me so great of thinker. "
And yet, is not this exactly what our Lord told us that He did?
John 8:28
Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
Hmmm! Did Jesus tell them I operate on my own, think my own thoughts and this is what makes me a great thinker? Did Jesus ever pride himself in his own abilities such as this fool would encourage us to do? No! Jesus said, I copied what I was taught. I agreed with my Father. He taught me, I agreed, and now I teach you exactly what I was taught. In other words, I copy and paste the words of another.
Now according to this fool, Jesus himself would be a "false teacher" a "blind man leading the blind" Why? because according to this fool, he didn't teach out of his own faith and his own greatness but rather he taught what he had heard from another. Jesus believed the truth and taught it. He did not have to come up with his own thoughts in order to do so, did he?
What about the Apostle Paul? What did he say to Timothy?
2Tim 2:2
And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
Hmmm. Did Paul tell Timothy to try to be a "great thinker" on his own? Did he tell him to encourage other faithful men to "become great thinkers"? No! He said, Teach what I taught - copy and paste my teachings. Agree with the things that you have heard me say and tell others to do the same.
The Truth does not change. We are to proclaim (copy and paste) that truth. We are not told anywhere to concern ourselves with being "great thinkers" but rather we are told to continue to contend for the faith/doctrine delivered once and for all to the saints.
I don't know about you but I will be happy to "cut and paste" the Gospel over and over again without adding any of my own "great thinking". I will also be happy to stand in agreement with other men of God who teach the truth and say, "AMEN!, I agree". I am not too proud to agree with another brother's writing or teaching when they agree with the Word of God. Are you?
I John 2:15-17: Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For evereything in the world--the cravings of sinful men, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does--comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever!
Luke 4:5-7: The devil led Him {Jesus}up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. And he said to Him, "I will give you all their authority and splendor, for it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. So if you worship me it will all be yours."
John 18:36: Jesus says, "My kingdom is not of this world... But now My Kingdom is from another place!!"
Does these references speak of alll man of all time or does it speak of those that do not believe as fools?
Psalm 14:1
The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
Psalm 53:1
The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.
Notice the term fool used with one that does not believe God.
Twice this is repeated and it is the same reference in these two scriptures and also we see it repeated in the new testament.
In the New testament you will find this statement in reference to there is none that doeth Good.
Verse three tells us who it is that doeth no good and the context gives us example of the actions of those that do not believe (fools)
3 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?
4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
5 But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)
6 God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?
7 For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?
8 And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.
9 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;
10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:
14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:
15 Their feet are swift to shed blood:
16 Destruction and misery are in their ways:
17 And the way of peace have they not known:
18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.
You judge how the word of God defines a fool, one could also say one that has not studied to show thyself approved, rightly dividing the truth will be ashamed. Will The fool will mock this truth.\?
Matthew 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
I haven't seen anyone here say that there is no God, nor anyone that is doing "abominable iniquity"
2 Timothy 2
20But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 21If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work. 22Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 23But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes. 24And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, 25In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; 26And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
Ask yourself, "who am I in this verse?". I have observed that you are far from what I consider "meek and gentle and patient", and I'd say you should probably take a gentler/meeker attitude with people who you believe are opposing themselves, but I do understand that you may have a different definition of what those terms represent.
And just for the record, if you continue hurling direct insults at everyone who disagrees with you, then I am going to report you. It's gone on long enough, if you want to act like this, then you're free to find another forum where that kind of behavior is allowed. I understand that you may think you're being a wonderful christian, and that's fine, but you're breaking the rules of a forum meant for participation and discussion. You can be a wonderful christian and still adhere to the forum rules, there is nowhere in the bible that says you must call people you disagree with to be fools and liars, perhaps if you're nicer to them, while still patiently and steadfastly opposing them, you'd have more success. And yes, they might call you names and insult you, but that should only make you nicer to them.
