IS THE 1,000 YEAR FIRST RESURRECTION FOR THOSE WHO COME TO **LIFE** IN REVELATION 20:4-6; FOR THE 24 ELDERS ON THRONES AND MARTYRS WHO HAVE RECEIVED THE **CROWN OF LIFE** ONLY!!
Jesus promised to 12 Apostles who followed Him {Including Paul?} that they would be given 12 THRONES and the authority to JUDGE in Matthew 19:28 & Luke 22:30. In Revelation 4:4 Before the beginning of the Great Tribulation John saw exactly 24 thrones surrounding God's Throne in Heaven. The other 12 thrones were most likely given to 12 prominent OT Elders such as Abraham, Joseph and Isaiah. One of these 24 Elders speaks in Rev 7:13-17 and after the 7TH angel sounds the 7TH and Last Trumpet in Rev 11:15 ONLY the 24 Elders state in Rev 11:16-18: �The time has come for JUDGING the dead and for rewarding your saints.�
It is completely obvious that the 1,000 year reign mentioned in Revelation 20:4-6 is for 24 ELDERS on Thrones and MARTYRS ONLY according to God's Word in Revelation 20:4,5b,6a:
"I saw Thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to JUDGE and I saw the SOULS of those who had been beheaded {Or martyred} because of their testimony for Jesus {NT MARTYRS} and because of the Word of God {OT MARTYRS}. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands {**TRIBULATION MARTYRS**}. THEY {THE 24 ELDERS & MARTYRS} came to ****LIFE*** and reigned with Christ for 1,000 years... This is the FIRST RESURRECTION... Blessed and holy are those who have part in the FIRST RESURRECTION.' {Which includes THE TRIBULATION MARTYRS!!}
And so the First Resurrection **INCLUDES** the *TRIBULATION MARTYRS*. IF the First Resurrection is a rapture **BEFORE** the Tribulation it certainly can not **INCLUDE** the *TRIBULATION MARTYRS*!!!!
The pre-tribbers believe there will be 2 Resurrections. They believe the First Resurrection is for church saints only and will last just 1 day just **BEFORE** the beginning of the Great Tribulation. They also believe that the Second Resurrection is for OT saints and Tribulation saints and will take place on the Last Day of the Great Tribulation. However, this is impossible since God's Word clearly states the the Tribulation saints will be included in the 1,000 year First Resurrection!!
Rev 20:5a: �The rest of the dead {Those saints who are not martyrs or the 24 Elders on Thrones} did not come to life until the 1,000 years were ENDED.� Which, of course, would be the SECOND RESURRECTION at the 2nd Coming of Jesus. Their souls are with Jesus until they are awakened at the 2nd Coming of Jesus.
In Daniel 12:2 just after the Great Tribulation we read, "Multitudes who *SLEEP* in the dust of the earth will *AWAKE*, some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.
I Thess 5:10: He {Jesus} died for us so that, whether we are *AWAKE* {Martyrs} or asleep, we may live together with Him.
The martyrs who are *AWAKE* with Jesus will also receive their new heavenly bodies at the 2nd coming of Jesus as per I Corinthians 15:51,52: Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all *SLEEP* but we will all be changed--in a flash, in a twinkling of an eye, at the Last {7TH} Trumpet!!
There are only TWO RESURRECTIONS for all saints mentioned in Rev 20:4-6: The FIRST RESURRECTION is for MARTYRS AND THE 24 ELDERS ONLY and INCLUDES the Tribulation Martyrs. And therefore the SECOND RESURRECTION must come on the Last Day of the Great Tribulation and must include ALL SAINTS {Both OT & NT} who are not martyrs or the 24 Elders on thrones.
The Heavenly rewards for the faithful and courageous *MARTYRS* is one of the most important central themes in the book of Revelation. For they will reign with Jesus in Heaven during the 1,000 years before His 2nd Coming; and according to Revelation 7:14-17:
"They are before the Throne of God and God will spread His tent over them. They will receive White Robes washed in the blood of the Lamb. Never again will they hunger or thirst and God Himself will wipe every tear from their eyes. Jesus will be their Shepherd and will lead them to springs of Living Water."
FOR EXAMPLE: Let us suppose that the SECOND RESURRECTION takes place on September 16th, 2017; then the continuous 1,000 year FIRST RESURRECTION for MARTYRS AND 24 ELDERS ONLY would take place from Sepember 16th, AD 1017 to September 16th, 2017. The 24 Elders and all of the OT & NT saints martyred before September 16th, 1017 were awakened to reign with Jesus in Heaven and every Martyr martyred after September 16th, 1017 were and will be immediately awakened to reign with Jesus in the continuous 1,000 year FIRST RESURRECTION to be completed on September 16th, 2017 at the SECOND RESURRECTION when "The rest of the dead come to life when the thousand years are ENDED." {Rev 20:5a} Rev 20:4b �I saw the *SOULS of those who had been martyred because of their testimony for Jesus... they came to life and reigned with Christ for 1,000 years. The Martyrs SOULS will only get their New Heavenly bodies when the 1,000 years are ENDED at the 2nd Coming of Jesus.
This seems to contradict John 6:40. However:
Jesus says, �EVERYONE who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life and I will raise him up at the LAST DAY.� HOWEVER, the LAST DAY RESURRECTION could last 1,000 years for in 2 Pet 3:8 we read: �With the Lord a DAY is like 1,000 years, and 1,000 years are like a DAY!!

Matthew 24:29-31: Jesus says, �Immediately after the distress of those {1260} days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light and the stars will fall from the sky. We see the martyrs talking in heaven at the beginning of the Great Tribulation in Revelation 6:9-11 and then we see a great multitude of martyrs who have come out of the Great Tribulation from every nation and language awake in heaven just before the first 7 trumpet plagues in Revelation 7:9-17. And then just before the last 7 bowl plagues we see martyrs in heaven singing the song of the Lamb in Revelation 15:2-4: And then we see 144,000 Jewish martyrs in heaven with Jesus BEFORE Rome or Babylon is destroyed in Rev 14:8 in Revlation 14:1-5:
Revelation 6:9-11: When He {Jesus} opened the 5th seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. They called out in a loud voice, How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood? Then each of them were given a WHITE ROBE, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the number of their fwellow servants and brothers who were to be killed {Tribulation martyrs} as they had been was completed.
Revelation 7:9,10,13-15,17: After this I looked and there before me was a grat multitude that do one could count, from EVERY nation, tribe, people and language standing before the throne nd in front of the Lamb {Jesus} They were wearing WHITE ROBES and were holding..And they cried out in a loud voice"Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne , and to the Lamb...Then one of the {24} elders asked me, "Those in WHITE ROBES--who are they, and where did they come from?" Note: Mount Zion is another name for heaven as per Hebrews 12:22}

Nowhere in the Bible are we told that the first resurrection is for martyrs ONLY. The first resurrection includes a great multitude of people, martyrs included. Daniel, King David, and others like them will be resurrected, but they were not martyrs. Read the Bible before you post misinformation.

And so God's 2 Witnesses during the Great Tribulation: Moses and Elijah could be both God's 2 witnesses and two of the 24 Elders on thrones surrounding God's throne in heaven!

In Revelation 3:4,5 Jesus says that all His saints will walk with Him dressed in *WHITE*.
Then we see in Rev 6:9-11 that the martyrs awake in Heaven will be given **WHITE** robes at the *BEGINNING* of the 1260-day Great Tribulation.
Then in Revelation 7:9-15 we see there will be a great multitude of martyrs from every nation and language will be awake with Jesus **BEFORE** the 7 trumpet plagues in Revelation 8 during the Great Tribulation; and at that time will be given *WHITE* robes.
And then we see in Revelation 19:7,8,14 that all of the saints resurrected during the 2nd coming of Jesus at the Marraige Feast of the Lamb will be given fine *WHITE* linen to wear.
Then we see that the 24 Elders on thrones surrounding God's throne in Heaven will be dressed in *WHITE*! as per Revelation 4:4.
However, when the New Jersalem comes on the same Last Day after the Judgement there will only be **TWO** thrones in the eternal New Jerusalem for the Father and the Lamb Jesus as per Revelation 22:3 "The throne of God {The Father} and of the Lamb {Jesus} will be in the City {The New Jerusalem}!!
In Revelation 3:21 Jesus says, "To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with Me on My throne, just as I overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

The 2nd resurrection is for the wicked and the final judgment.
Whenever Christ talks about seeing the believers again, it is always at his second coming, not after the millennium. All the apostles knew it, Mary and Martha knew it, Jesus spoke of it often.
1 Corinthians 15:51-52
King James Version (KJV)
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
Paul also mentions that all of the saints will take part in the judgment of angels. There is only one judgment, so on top of the fact that all the believers will meet Christ at His second coming(all the living righteous, and all the ones who died in Christ), ALL the saints will take part in the 1,000 years in heaven.
"Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?"
I really don't understand what you're getting at with this "doctrine", or for that matter, where you're getting it from. You need to find a balance with the rest of scripture, it's too easy to misinterpret one verse.

Don't hit the mark a 7th Day Adventist states: "The 2nd resurrection is for the wicked and the final judgment."
Actually all of your beliefs on prophecy are based on the insane writings of Ellen White who believed the 1260-day or 42-month Great Tribulation is really 1260 years and ended in 1798 when Napolean put a Pope in prison for a few years.
God's Word clearly shows that just after the 2nd coming of Jesus the present heavens and earth will be destroyed and we will have a New Heavens and a New Earth with the Heavenly New Jerusalem which will be our *ETERNAL* home of righteousness. And there will not be a earthly Jewish Temple with thousands of animal sacrifices for sins since Jesus put an end to all sacrifices for sins.

I think your posts here in this Thread are WRONG.
Why?
According to Revelation there will be *TWO* Resurrections.
The First for Christians/believers.
The Second for unbelievers.
ALL Christians will be resurrected whose names will be WRITTEN in the Book of Life.
Let's read what will happen:
1 Corinthians 15
The Risen Christ, Faith�s Reality
15 Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you�unless you believed in vain.

The Risen Christ, Our Hope

The Last Enemy Destroyed

Effects of Denying the Resurrection
29 Otherwise, what will they do who are baptized for the dead, if the dead do not rise at all? Why then are they baptized for the dead? 30 And why do we stand in jeopardy every hour? 31 I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily. 32 If, in the manner of men, I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantage is it to me? If the dead do not rise, �Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!�[b]
33 Do not be deceived: �Evil company corrupts good habits.� 34 Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.
A Glorious Body
35 But someone will say, �How are the dead raised up? And with what body do they come?� 36 Foolish one, what you sow is not made alive unless it dies. 37 And what you sow, you do not sow that body that shall be, but mere grain�perhaps wheat or some other grain. 38 But God gives it a body as He pleases, and to each seed its own body.
39 All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one kind of flesh[c] of men, another flesh of animals, another of fish, and another of birds.
40 There are also celestial bodies and terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. 41 There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory.

Our Final Victory

WILL THE RESURRECTION OF THE CHURCH SAINTS OCCUR ON THE SAME LAST DAY AS THE RESURRECTION OF THE LOST??
John 6:40� Jesus says, �For my Father�s will is that EVERYONE who looks to the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the *LAST DAY*!��
John 6:44: Jesus says, �No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him, and I will raise him up at the *LAST DAY!�
Pre-tribbers believe that the *LAST DAY* mentioned 6 times in John 6:39,40,44,54;11:24,12:48 refers to a CONCEALED RESURRECTION 7 years *BEFORE THE LAST DAY*.� However, John 12:48 shows that the lost will also be condemned on that same *LAST DAY*!�
*WHEN WILL THE LOST BE JUDGED AND SENT TO HELL*?
John 12:48: Jesus says, �There is a Judge for the one who rejects Me and does not accept My words; that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the *LAST DAY*!!��
2 Thess 1:1,6-10:� �To the *CHURCH* of the Thessalonians�God is just; He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well.� This will happen *WHEN* the Lord Jesus is *REVEALED* {See I Peter 1:13} from heaven in blazing fire�.� He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.� They will be punished with everlasting *DESTRUCTION* and shut out from the presence of the Lord *ON THE DAY HE COMES* to be glorified in His holy people!!� {THE LAST DAY-See Rev 20:11-15}
Matt 25:31-34,41:� Jesus says, �*WHEN* the Son of Man comes in His glory,{On the Last Day} and all the angels with Him {See Matt 24:29-31}, He will sit on His throne in heavenly glory.� All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate the people one from another��He will put His sheep on His right and the goats on the left. *THEN the King {Jesus} will say to those on His right, �Come you who are blessed by My Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world... *THEN He will say to those on His left, �Depart from Me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire!���
John 5:28,29:� Jesus says, �Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming {The Last Day} when *ALL* {Both OT & NT Saints} who are in their graves will hear His voice and come out�those who have done good will rise to live, and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned.�

Daniel 12:1b,2,7b:� �There will be a time of distress {The Great Tribulation} such as not happened from the beginning of nations until then.� But at that time {The Last Day} your people--*EVERYONE* whose name is found written in the Book {Both OT & NT Saints}�will be delivered.� Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt�It will be for a time. times and half a time {1260 days-Rev 12:6,14, or 42� {30-day} months-Rev 13:5-{Not 7 years} *ALL* these things will be *COMPLETED.��
The pre-tribbers wrongly believe that the OT saints will receive their eternal perfect heavenly bodies 7 years AFTER the Church saints. However, in Hebrews 11:39,40 we read �These {OT super saints mentioned in Heb 11:4-38} were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised. God had planned something better for us so that ONLY TOGETHER WITH US {NT Saints} would they {OT Saints} be made perfect!�
Actually there are many similarities between Revelation 20:11-15 and the Judgment of **ALL** the lost in Matthew 25:31-46 on the Day that Jesus comes again:
Matthew 25:31-34,41,46: �**WHEN** the Son of Man {The Lamb} comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, He will sit on **HIS THRONE** in Heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him and He will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on His right and the goats on the left.�
�*THEN* the King will say to those on the right, �Come you who are blessed by My Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.� {The New Jerusalem with its New Heaven and New Earth�See Rev 21:1-5 & 2 Peter 3:10-13}
�**THEN* He will say to those on His left, �Depart from Me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.� ....�*THEN* they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.�
Matthew 13:40-43: Jesus says, �As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it wil be at the END OF THE AGE. The Son of man will send out His angels, and they will weed out of His kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. They will throw them into the firey furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. **THEN the righteous will shine like the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.
Compare with Revelation 20:11-15: "Then I saw a great white **THRONE** and Him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from His presence {See 2 Peter 3:10 and I Cor 15:20-24}, and there was no longer any sea. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the **THRONE**, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life {See Daniel 12:1b,2}. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them and each person was judged according to what he had done {See Rev 22:12} Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life {See Daniel 12:1b,2}, he was thrown into the lake of fire." The Book of Life is actually the Lamb's Book of Life as per Rev 13:8 and Rev 21:27.
