Men, not women, are made in the image of God..

Men, not women, are made in the image of God, though this is a mystery which is not comprehended, except by revelation of the Spirit (Ruach).
And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. 25And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." Genesis 1:26-27
The phrases "in the image of God created He him", is a reference to Elohim creating man alone; "male and female created he them" is a reference to Elohim creating animals of the creation, which the men who would be made in the image of Him Self, were to reign over. Woman was not made to reign, but to be ruled over. This is why she is to "submit". There is no reference in any scripture which states that the man is to "submit to the woman". Women who are wicked or blind to the truth, try to teach men, and rule over men. NOTE: We see the woman being fashioned from the man's rib in Genesis 3.
Together man and woman, are made to be exact replicas of the Father creating Adam, and dwelling in Adam. Thus it is written, "and he shall rule over you", and "wives submit to your own husbands, as unto the LORD".
As Elohim was Alone in the beginning, so was Adam made Alone, and the woman later presented to the man. In this man is made in the image of God.
This is the mystery of the Tabernacle (mishkan), and the priest walking into the Tabernacle. The Man is to be the Priest, and the Woman is to be Man's Tabernacle, the same way that Adam was Abba's Tabernacle.
Thus men are made in the image of God, some men as representatives (a proxy) of Sahtahn (stn) and some men as representatives (a proxy) of YHWH, which is the Name of Yahaweh.
A women cannot enter into the congregation of the men, for she has not that which is necessary to be a priest (manhood):
"He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD." Deuteronomy 23:1
This is the reason why women are not permitted to teach a man, but the man is to teach the woman:
"I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet." I Timothy 2:12
Thus as Eve was not present when Elohim "Instructed" Adam, which is what the Word "towrah" means, the man is to later instruct the woman (put seed into her) at home. Each woman (of those chosen to be heirs of the Seed of Abraham) is to in the 1,000 generations (Psalms 105:8), represent the man receiving life into him, of Yahaweh. As man was silent when Yahaweh spoke, so the woman is to remain silent in the churches (called-out men, called to be priests):
"Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. 35And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church." I Corinthians 14:34-35
No man is permitted to "teach" another man's wife, for it is likened unto a man putting seed into a woman. A man who attempts to teach another man's wife, is likened unto the Devil, Sahtahn.
The Word of God is likened unto the seed of a man and the Word. As woman cannot emit the seed of a man, so the woman is not able to teach a man. Woman was made to be the recipient of the man's seed, and the Word of God. As the Spirit (Ruach) of Yahweh entered into Adam, so man is to enter into his Tabernacle. The woman's womb becomes the Tabernacle for the man. Only those women anointed by the Spirit, can receive this "Instruction" from her husband, who is a type of Yahweh.
This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; 2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.
Galatians 3:28
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
1 Corinthians 11
11 Nevertheless, in the Lord woman is not independent of man nor man of woman; 12 for as woman was made from man, so man is now born of woman. And all things are from God.
The bible account of the entrance of sin describes part of the curse of sin on women, and it is there that God says men will rule over women. Not before. I'm not sure if it's what you're implying, but males are not more valuable than females, and it was not God's design that men should "rule" over women. Also, bearded men are not more important than non-bearded men.
Is Christ less than God?
"Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God"
1 Corinthians 11
3But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
The relationship of man and woman is likened to the relationship between God and Christ. They are equal in value and importance, with different roles and abilities.
Since we are dealing with Genesis chapter #1,would it be okay to stay with this chapter by itself.
Thank you very much.
I would like to ask what do we do about the word 'THEM' in verses 26 & 28
Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Gen 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

*** I disagree also for the Word says otherwise...
Gen 1:27 - So God [[[ elohiym ]]] created man in his own image, in the image of God [[[ elohiym ]]] created [[[ he him; ( male and female ) created he them. ]]]
*** We...men and women are created in elohim's image...

Jhn 10:33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

Theos ~ G2316 -

Jhn 10:36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? [[[ theos ]]]
IF you limit it to one verse and your narrow interpretation of that verse, then yes, you are right. If you weigh scripture with scripture, and understand God and how He values people, then your interpretation is wrong.
There are many verses in the bible that I could twist to mean something that the bible absolutely does not teach.
