Glorify the Lord today - when they do not hear God - If I regard iniquity in my heart the Lord will not hear me. Psalm 66 : 18 . Lord bless Your word to us.
Our sin to disrupts our communication with God ... The Bible tells us that God does not want to listen to us under the following circumstances:
1 - if we know our sins in our hearts Psalm 66 : 18 . - If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened
2 - if we closed our ears to the cry of the poor or 21:13 .
3 - If we live in evil and sin Isaiah 59 : 1 and 2.
4 - if there is a quarrel in our homes 1 Peter 3 : 7 .
5 - that we were selfish in our requests.
Let us review now those verses and discover that God wants to listen to us and wants us to glorify Him and to send Him our prayer requests .. but we must also recognize that He does not listen to us when we pray if we live in sins because we have to live in a way that " glorifies " Him and at the required level of a GODLY life... as believers .. and when we do it then we can be sure that He hears our prayers ..i.e. He WANTS to HEAR them.
24 and put on the NEW self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.
Ephesians 4:24
Put on your new nature, created to be like God--truly righteous and holy.
Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
Colossians 3:12
His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
2 Peter 1:3
Fruitful Growth in the Faith:
5 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. 8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither BARREN nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.
2 Peter 1
We have to walk in righteousness and piety and holiness.
" Glory " to You our God Jesus because prayers may mean a lot to us as they mean a lot to YOU too. To You all the " glory" . Amen.
I disagree. It may have been the case when this Psalm was written before the death of Jesus but if we are going to believe that Jesus' blood washes away our sin then we have no sin that can stand between us and the Father. God does not see our sin because we are covered with the righteousness of Jesus. God will always hear us no matter what we we may have done or not done.
If the measure of our righteousness is in the righteousness of Jesus then we always appear perfect before God. If this is not the case then for what purpose would the blood of Jesus have had?
" in the righteousness of Jesus then we always appear perfect before God."
Now listen to what our God Jesus says to you:
21 Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name? 23 And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness! Matth.7
God Jesus said that no one of unrighteous people will see the Kingdom of God!
He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. Revelation 21:7-8
Sexually immoral..
God Jesus died on the cross to give you FREEDOM from your sins. Abandon your sins! And you will be FREE! Get out of your slavery to be a FREE man and to set people FREE! The TRUTH- Jesus- gives you forgiveness of your sins. But if you will continue to live in your sins, then you will even die in your sins. God Jesus commands you: unless you repent you will all likewise perish. Die for your sins to live eternally in Gods presence!
So, to HAVE eternal life we need:
(1) Believe in the Son of God.
And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 1 John 5
(2) To be baptized in water, abandoning our sins and promissing God our good conscience, as a symbol and act of repentance.
(3) We need to live a GODLY/HOLY life KEEPING i.e. IMPLEMENTING commands of God and LOVING people in action...in DEED.
13 Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 14 As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance, 15 but like the Holy One who called you, BE HOLY yourselves also in all your behavior;
16 because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy." 1 Peter 1
This is what you call "Christianity". This is the way to the Kingdom of God. That should be your REGENERATION to be a SON of God BORN of God.
Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother.
Are you BORN of God or of devil?
In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother. 1 John 3
Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us (CHRISTIANS), that we should be called children of God!
We are CHILDREN of God!
Return to God you- backsliding CHILDREN of God! Repent and God will RESTORE you!
@ Versavia. You'd think I'd know by now that I can't comment on anything you say without you becoming THE JUDGE. I wonder just who you think you really are? This is a place for discussion not for condemnation. I feel sorry for people who have their religion as sewed up as you do. You have no room for learning anything but you sure have the mouth to blast everyone to hell.
Judge ???...Nah...just a messenger...some folks dont like it when the message hits...dont feel sorry for those that have their religion focused on Christ...instead ask your self...
Is my "Religion" or "Spirituality" focused on Him...(JESUS)...He that is the only WAY...TRUTH...LIFE ?..or is it going in a dirrection away from HIM ???...were a person decides what is Right or Wrong ?...These are serious times...and satan is mis~dirrecting and mis~leading all those that are not Grounded and Focused and IN Christ Jesus...
When God does NOT hear us
*** I believe GOD does not hear us when we DONT say anything worth salt !!!
Mat 7:1 "Do not judge others, so that God will not judge you,
Mat 7:2 for God will judge you in the same way you judge others, and he will apply to you the same rules you apply to others.
Mat 7:3 Why, then, do you look at the speck in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the log in your own eye?
Mat 7:4 How dare you say to your brother, 'Please, let me take that speck out of your eye,' when you have a log in your own eye?
Mat 7:5 You hypocrite! First take the log out of your own eye, and then you will be able to see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.
:stop:
Ask yourself, how would Christ respond if he was answering on this chat forum?? DEFINITELY HE WOULD ANSWER WITH SENSITIVITY & PURE LOVE!!
1Co 13:1 I may be able to speak the languages of human beings and even of angels, but if I have no love, my speech is no more than a noisy gong or a clanging bell.
1Co 13:2 I may have the gift of inspired preaching; I may have all knowledge and understand all secrets; I may have all the faith needed to move mountains---but if I have no love, I am nothing.
1Co 13:3 I may give away everything I have, and even give up my body to be burned ---but if I have no love, this does me no good.
1Co 13:4 Love is patient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud;
1Co 13:5 love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable; love does not keep a record of wrongs;
1Co 13:6 love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth.
1Co 13:7 Love never gives up; and its faith, hope, and patience never fail.
1Co 13:8 Love is eternal. There are inspired messages, but they are temporary; there are gifts of speaking in strange tongues, but they will cease; there is knowledge, but it will pass.
1Co 13:9 For our gifts of knowledge and of inspired messages are only partial;
1Co 13:10 but when what is perfect comes, then what is partial will disappear.
1Co 13:11 When I was a child, my speech, feelings, and thinking were all those of a child; now that I am an adult, I have no more use for childish ways.
1Co 13:12 What we see now is like a dim image in a mirror; then we shall see face-to-face. What I know now is only partial; then it will be complete---as complete as God's knowledge of me.
1Co 13:13 Meanwhile these three remain: faith, hope, and love; and the greatest of these is love.
