(KJV) I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

Hello everyone:

In America, the 'church' has neglected to disciple people in translating the Word of GOD.

Most people read a translation not understanding that the translation the are reading may be wrong in many ways.

Here is only one verse of Scripture which has been translated wrongly.

(KJV) I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

The better and more accurate translation would be;

I am the valuable Shepherd,the valuable Shepherd lays His 'SOUL' OVER the sheep.

In the NEW COVENANT,the Greek word ψυχή psuchē should be translated as SOUL not LIFE; such as has been the case with John 10:11;(KJV) I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

In most of the modern translations,

the translators had their own prejudices while translating the Word of GOD.

We as Bereans should be doing our own translating of the Word of GOD,instead of just believing the translation that i have been reading is correct.

I believe most of the Pastors,Elders,Bishops and other people are not trusting Yeshua with the Body of Messiah,

If they were than they would teach the people how to translate the Word of GOD.

There would also be OPEN discussions when they would

meet together.

What these pastors,elders,bishops and others are afraid of is that people would begin to know that they have been deceived and will leave,thus causing a FINANCIAL loss which they could not bear to have.

Blessings

I remember discovering in my own studies that the Church had been lying to me about so many things! It was the beginning of my search for the Truth and my abandonment of Christianity as my religion of choice. I began to study and fine my own interpretations of the Bible. I have translated three of Paul's epistles on my own. They are very interesting when seen through an accurate and true lens. So too are the teachings and miracles of Jesus. Discovering Him without the help of the Church was incredibly enlightening. Now my preference is to live by the teachings of Jesus rather than anything the Church tells me.

disagree

The basic meaning of the Greek word ψυχή (psūkhē) was "life" in the sense of "breath", formed from the verb ψύχω (psukhō, "to blow"). Derived meanings included "spirit", "soul", "ghost", and ultimately "self" in the sense of "conscious personality" or "psyche

For one, KJV is not a one-man translation. It took more than 50 men and 7 years to come to this version of the Bible.

So now you, and you alone are gonna say they were wrong?

Not even the modern translations like NIV,ESV,... changed to "soul".

Also, I read God's Word in English, Dutch, French, and German. Dutch, for example, doesn't have the extensive vocabulary that English has. Quite interesting at times.

My heart may go to the KJV version of the Bible, but... I do not judge anyone who reads a different version, as long as the right message comes accross.

I wonder how you translate Rev.22:18-19.

Hi emmabe:

Thank you for your response:

I see you read a few languages,i only read English,and my grammar is not two good.

I will stand by my writing as the translations and translators are wrong about many things.

Take James for instance;

Jas_2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

Jas_2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

When translated says that FAITH apart form works is UNEMPLOYED.

Many people run around trying to do a whole lot fo thing TRYING to prove that they have faith,instead of trusting Messiah has GOOD WORKS already for them to be doing.

Eph 2:10 for we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God before prepared that we should walk in them.

I will continue as i need two go too work.

HAhahahaha

Hi versavia:

There is quite a big difference between 'Laying' down ones life,compared to and Laying ones SOUL OVER another.

Before you laugh to hard,find out what is the difference between SOUL and LIFE.

Hi emmabe:

Maybe you should know that the Holy Spirit has EMPOWERED myself and others to question the translations which the people read;

The Holy Spirit has EMPOWERED myself and others to translate the Scriptures without the need of so called earthly teachers or so called senior pastors,pastors,church leaders, etc.

There are many good sites with many good helps for translating the Greek Scriptures,one does not need to have a Cemetery oooppps seminary degree in order to read,write and understand the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures;

Maybe you place too much importance upon man and not enough upon the Holy Spirit who is the Author, and teacher of the Word of GOD.

Remember,just because YOU might be able to read other languages,do not belittle the working and empowering of the Holy Spirit.

Blessings

Hi versavia:

Thank you so much for your reply,many people are like you in your attitude towards those which seek the truth,not the deceits of man.

Versavia,you display the same defeated,and lazy attitudes as most so called christians which is; DO NOT CONFUSE ME WITH THE TRUTH OF SCRIPTURE,MY FAITH IS MADE UP.

So sad,so very sad.

Blessings
