The Anti Christ can be a touchy subject, especially when people realize what it truly is. The bible doesn't leave us guessing either. Let me show you.
Daniel 7 clearly and unmistakably identifies the antichrist so it'll be a good idea to go read Daniel 7 first. What you discover today may displease or sadden you, but please remember that the prophecy of Daniel chapter 7 comes from Jesus, who loves you. Pray for God's guidance as you delve into this urgent subject.
As the the chapter begins, Daniel sees four beasts coming up out of the sea. In prophecy, what does a beast represent? What does the sea represent?
Daniel 7:23 says The fourth beast shall be a fourth kingdom on earth. Revelation 17:15 says The waters... are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues.
Ok so a beast represents a kingdom and the sea represents people.
The four beasts of Daniel 7 represent the four world kingdoms (verses 17,18). Babylon, the first kingdom (Daniel 2:38-39), is represented as a lion in Daniel 7:4. (Look at Jeremiah 4:7; 50:17, 43, 44 for Babylon pictured as a lion elsewhere.) What do the eagle's wings mean? What do the four winds of verse 2 represent?
Look at Deuteronomy 28:49 it says, The Lord will bring a nation against you... as swift as the eagle flies. Then look at Jeremiah 25:32,33 as it says Thus says the Lord of hosts.... a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the farthest parts of the earth. And ... the slain of the Lord shall be from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth.
The wings of eagles represents speed. Look also at Jeremiah 4:13 and Habakkuk 1:6-9. Winds represent strife, commotion, and deestruction. See also Revelation 7:1-3
What kingdom does the bear represent in Daniel 7:5? What do the three ribs in its mouth symbolize?
Read Daniel 8. Notice that the beasts in chapter 8 parallel those in chapter 7. Daniel 8:20 specifically names Medo-Persia as the kingdom that precedes the rough goat, or Greece, of verse 21. It is the second world kingdom, the same power as the bear in Daniel 7. The empire was made up of two groups of people. The medes came up first (represented in Daniel 7:5 by the bear coming up on one side), but the Persians eventually became stronger (represented in Daniel 8:3 by the ram's second horn which grew taller). The three ribs represent the three principal powers conquered by Medo-Persia: Lydia, Babylon, and Egypt.
Greece, the third kingdom (Daniel 8:21), is represented by a leopard with four wings and four heads (Daniel 7:6). What do the heads represent? What do the four wings represent?
The four heads represent the four kingdoms into which the empire of Alexander the Great was divided when he died. The four generals who headed these areas were: Cassander, Lysimachus, Ptolemy, and Selecus. The four wings, instead of the two like the lion, represent super-speed, which was true of Alexanders conquests. (Jeremiah 4:11-13)
The Roman empire, the fourth world kingdom, is represented by a horrible monster with iron teeth and ten horns (Daniel 7:7). What do the horns represent?
The ten horns represent the ten kings or kingdoms into which pagan Rome was eventually split (Daniel 7:24). These ten kingdoms are the same as the ten toes of the image described in Daniel 2:41-44. Roving barbarian tribes swept in upon the Roman empire and carved out land niches for their people. Seven of those ten tribes developed into the countries of modern Western Europe, while three were uprooted and destroyed. Here are the kingdoms listed:

Alemani-Germany
Burgundians=Switzerland
Lombards=Italy
Suevi=Portugal
Heruli=Uprooted

In the Daniel 7 prophecy, what happens next?
Daniel 7:8 says I was considering the horns, and there was another horn, a little one, coming up among them, before whom three of the first horns were plucked out by the roots. And there, in this horn, were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking pompous words.
The little horn power appears next. So we must identify it carefully because God takes more space describing it than the other four kingdoms combined. Why? Because the biblical characteristics identify it as the antichrist of prophecy and history. There must be NO mistake in making this identification. So lets list these characteristics and see who or what it points to.
A. The little horn or kingdom came up among them.... the ten horns which were the kingdoms of Western Europe (Daniel 7:8). So it would be a little kingdom somewhere in Western Europe.
B. It would have a man at its head who could speak for it (Daniel 7:8).
C. It would pluck up or uproot three kingdoms (Daniel 7:8).
D. It would be diverse or different from the other ten kingdoms (Daniel 7:24).
E. It would make war with and wear out or persecute the saints (Daniel 7:21, 25).
F. It would emerge from the pagan Roman empire, the fourth world kingdom (Daniel 7:7, 8).
G. God's people (the saints) would be given into his hand for a time and times and the dividing of time (Daniel 7:25).
H. It would speak great words against or blaspheme God (Daniel 7:25). In Revelation 13:5, the Bible says the same power speaks great thing and blasphemies.
I. It would think to change times and laws. Daniel 7:25.
Don't forget, all these identification points come directly from the Bible. They are not some human opinion or speculation. Historians could quickly tell you what power is being described. These points can fit only one power and that is the papacy. But in order to be certain, lets carefully examine all nine points, one by one. There must be NO room left for doubt.
A. "Itcame up among the ten kingdoms of Western Europe." The geographical location of the papal power was in Rome, Italy, the very heart of Western Europe.
B. "It would have a man at its head who could speak for it." The papacy meets the identifying mark because it does have one man at the head, the pope, who speaks for it.
C. "It would pluck up or uproot three kingdoms."
The emperors of Western Europe were largely Catholic and supported the papacy in its growth and authority. Three Arian kingdoms, however, did not support the papacy, the Vandals, Heruli, and the Ostrogoths. So the Catholic emperors decided they must be subdued or destroyed. The Catholic emperor Zeno arranged a treaty with the Ostrogoths in 487 which resulted in the eradication of the kingdom Arian Herulis in 493. The Catholic emperor Justinian exterminated the Arian Vandals in 534 and broke the power of the Ostrogoths in 538. And there we have Daniels three horns. It's not difficult to not notice that the papacy fits here perfectly.
D. "It would be diverse or different from the other ten kingdoms."
The papacy clearly fits this description also. It came on the scene as a religious power and was totally different from the secular nature of the other ten kingdoms.
E. "It would make war with and wear out or persecute the saints."
It's a well known fact that the church did persecute. The papacy even clearly admits it. Even conservative historians claim that the church probably destroyed at least 50 million people over matters of religious conviction.
F. "It would emerge from the pagan Roman empire, the fourth world kingdom."
We obviously know that the papacy rose from the Roman Empire.
G. "God's people (the saints) would be given into his hand for a time and times and the dividing of time."
Several things need clarification here:
1. A time is a year, times is two years, and the dividing of a time is a half-year.
2. This same time period is mentioned seven times (Daniel 7:25; 12:7; Revelation 11:2, 3; 12:6, 14; 13:5) in the books of Daniel and Revelation: three times as a time, times, and half a time; twice as 42 months; and twice as 1,260 days. Based on the 30 day calendar used by the Jews, these time periods are all the same amount of time 3 1/2 years= 42 months= 1,260 days.
3. One prophetic day equals one literal year (Ezekiel 4:6; Numbers 14:34).
4. The little horn, or the antichrist, was to have power over the saints for 1,260 prophetic days or 1,260 literal years.
5. The rule of the papacy began in A.D. 538, when the last of the three opposing Arian kingdoms was uprooted. Its rule continued until 1798 when Napoleon's general, Berthier, took the pope captive with hopes of destroying both Pope Pius VI and the political, secular power of the papacy. This period of time is an exact fulfillment of the 1,260 year prophecy. The blow was a deadly wound for the papacy, but that wound began to heal and is still healing today.
6. This same period of persecution is mentioned in Matthew 24:21 as the worst period of persecution God's people will ever experience. Verse 22 tells us it was so devastating that not one soul would have survived if God had not shortened it. But God did shorten it. The persecution ended long before the pope was taken captive in 1798. It's plain to see that the papacy clearly fits.
H. "It would speak great words against or blaspheme God."
Blasphemy has two definitions in Scripture:
Claiming to forgive sins (Luke 5:21)
Claiming to be God (John 10:33)
Does this point fit the papacy? Yes! Want evidence? In A Complete Catechism of the Catholic Religion by Joseph Deharbe on page 279 it says, "Does the Priest truly forgive the sins, or does he only declare that they are remitted? The Priest does really and truly forgive the sins in virtue of the power given to him by Christ." The papacy further undermines Jesus by setting up a system of confession to an earthly priest, thus bypassing Jesus, our High Priest (Hebrews 3:1; 8:1,2) and only Mediator ( 1 Timothy 2:5).
Now lets consider the evidence of it claiming to be God. Letter written by Pope Leo XIII dated June 20, 1894: We [the popes] hold upon this earth the place of God Almighty.
Here's another straight from the July 1895 issue of Catholic National: The pope is not only the representative of Jesus Christ, but he is Jesus Christ, Himself, hidden under the veil of flesh.
I. "It would think to change times and laws."
This almost requires another entire study, but what about changing the "laws"? The reference is to changing God's law. Of course, no one can really change it, but has the papacy attempted to do so? The answer is YES.
In its catechisms, the papacy has omitted the second commandment against veneration of images and has shortened the fourth commandment from 94 words to 8 and divided the tenth commandment into two commandments. Check this for yourself. Compare the Ten Commandments in any Catholic catechism with God's list of the commandments in Exodus 20:3-17.
There is no doubt that the little horn power of Daniel 7 (the antichrist) is the papacy. No other organization could possibly fit these nine points. And incidentally, this is no new teaching. Every Reformer, without exception, spoke of the papacy as antichrist, according to R. Allen Anderson's, Unfolding the Revelation on page 137.
Now you might be asking yourself, Wasn't Daniel told to seal up his book until "the time of the end" (Daniel 12:4)? When will Daniel's prophecies be opened to our understanding?
Yes, in Daniel 12:4, the prophet was told to seal parts of the book till "the time of the end."In verse 6 an angelic voice asked, "How long shall the fulfillment of these wonders be?" Verse 7 says, "it shall be for a time, times, and half a time." The angel assured Daniel that the section of the book dealing with end-time prophecies would be opened after the end of the 1260 year period of papal control, which was, as we learned earlier, 1798. So the time of the end began in 1798. Obviously the book of Daniel contains crucial messages from heaven for us today. We absolutely must understand it.
Many Christians today have been tragically misinformed regarding the antichrist. To believe an untruth about the antichrist could easily cause a person to be deceived and lost. What should a person do when new Bible teachings are encountered?
Acts 17:11 says These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.
When a new Bible teaching is encountered, the only safe procedure is to compare it carefully with Scripture to see if it is in harmony with God's Word.
One last thing that I would like to share: If some of you should think that I am attacking fellow Christians by identifying the little horn power, please keep in miind that the prophecy is aimed at a system and not individuals!There are sincere, devout Christians in ALL churches, including the Catholic faith. Daniel 7 is simply a message of judgment and correction upon a large religious institution which compromised with paganism, like so many other churches that arose after her.
Other prophecies point out the faults of Protestant and Jewish faiths. God has true people in all religions. The 7th Day Adventists believe in the ridiculous idea that the 42 month {See Rev 13:5} reign of 666 was actually 1260 years which ended when Napolean put a Roman Catholic Pope in jail for a few years. However God's Word says that when Jesus comes again on the Last Day of the 42 month Great Tribulation He will throw 666 and his False Prophet alive into hell as per Rev 19:19,20 & 2 Thess 2:8.
WHAT ARE THE 7 BIBLE CLUES WHICH REVEAL THE IDENTITY OF 666???
Revelation 13:17b,18: "The mark of the beast {Or antichrist} is the *NAME* of the Beast or the number of *HIS NAME*. This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, *LET HIM* calculate the number of the Beast {Even in AD 96 when Revelation was written}, for it is a man's number {Or "Number of a MAN"}. *HIS* number is *666*." God has promised in the above inspired passage that any saint {Even in AD 96--which implies that the name was known in AD 96} with spiritual wisdom and insight may calculate the name of the beast which is a *MAN'S NAME* and adds up to 666.
During the last year of his rule Domitian Caesar decreed that everyone in the Roman Empire must worship idols of former Roman Caesar's or else they would be killed or put in prison. Historical documents show us that the Apostle John {Who then lived in Ephesus} lived to about AD 100 and therefore would have been alive during Domitian's evil decree of September AD 95 to September of AD 96. Since we can be sure that the Apostle John would never worship an idol of a Roman Caesar it is then highly probable that John was put in prison on Patmos Isle sometime during Domitian's evil decree from September AD 95 to September AD 96.
In Thess 2:3 the Beast of the End-Times is called a "*MAN* of sin or lawlessness" or very SINFUL MAN and therefore the name of the Beast which adds up to 666 is a *MAN'S* name which is also confirmed in Rev 13:17b,18 above. Therefore, the NAME of the Beast which adds up to 666 is a sinful *MAN'S NAME* and could not be the name of a woman or a city, country, computer or Satan, etc.. 666 is also identified with a MASCULINE pronoun 28 times in God's Word which we will show later.
Rev 13:16,17: "He {The False Prophet} forced everyone... to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead. No one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name {666}. 666 is called a "BEAST" 36 {6x6} times in Revelation. The BEAST is a much better name than the antichrist since anti-christ is mentioned 5 times in God's Word {I John 2:18{2X}, 22; 4:3; 2 John 1:7} and each time the word encompasses all who are against Christ. Such as I John 2:18: "Even now many anti-christs have come."
666 is referred to in the MASCULINE gender 28 times and the Beast is never referred to in the feminine or neuter gender. It is interesting to note that if the Beast of the end-times will be a religious organization, country or city it would be referred to in the female or neuter gender!!! The masculine pronouns used for the Beast are "HIS" 11 times: Rev 13:1, 5,16b,18b; 14:9,11; 17:7b; 19:2; 20:4(2X) & Daniel 7:26. "HE" 10 times: Rev 13:1;6a,7a,7; 17:8b; 17:11; 2 Thess 2:6; Daniel 7:24,25 & Daniel 9:27. "HIM" 5 times: Rev 13:4b; 19:20; 2 Thess 2:6; Daniel 7:25 & Daniel 9:27. "HIMSELF" 2 times in 2 Thess 2:4.
Actually there are **7 BIBLE CLUES** that show who the BEAST of the future 1260-day Tribulation will be. By an amazing coincidence all 7 Bible clues can be applied to Nero Caesar!!
{{1}} The BEAST will be a "MAN OF SIN" or very sinful MAN as per 2 Thess 2:3 above.
{{2}} The number of this sinful man's name is 666 as per Rev 13:16-18. The Bible was written by 40 Divinely inspired Hebrews in Hebrew and Greek so then it is highly probable that this man's name adds up to 666 in Hebrew or Greek. Nero Caesar's name adds up to 666 in Hebrew which we will show later in this Bible study.
{{3}} This sinful man whose name adds up to 666 DIED BEFORE AD 96 when Revelation was written.{See Rev 17:8 below} We will show later why Revelation was written between Sept AD 95 and Sept AD 96. Nero Caesar lived from December 15th, AD 37 to June 9th AD 68.
{{4}} This sinful man who was alive and then died before AD 96 was FATALLY WOUNDED by a sword wound to his head. Nero Caesar committed suicide with a sword wound to his head on June 9th, AD 68. {See Rev 13:3 and Rev 13:14 below}
{{5}} This very sinful man who died before AD 96 was a KING in the Roman Empire as per Daniel 7:24. There were 11 Roman Kings or Caesars who died before AD 96 including the 6th Caesar {Nero Caesar} who killed Paul and Peter in AD 66; and whose name adds up to 666 in Hebrew. Domitian Caesar was the 12th Roman Caesar who was alive when Revelation was written in AD 96.
{{6}} The beast is also called an 8th KING who ruled before AD 96 as one of 7 evil KINGS crowned by the city on 7 hills. {See Rev 17:9-11}
{{7}} This very sinful ROMAN KING whose name adds up to 666 and who was fatally wounded by a sword before AD 96, will "COME UP FROM THE *ABYSS* or *HELL* as per Rev 11:7 & Rev 17:8. We know that the ABYSS is HELL by comparing 2 Peter 2:4 with Luke 8:30b,31. We can be sure that Nero Caesar is now in the Abyss or Hell since he killed Paul and Peter and thousands of Christians and sent Vespasian {the father of Titus and Domitian Caesar} to kill the Jews and destroy their Temple. The MAN OF SIN or Nero also killed his own mother and killed his pregnant wife by kicking her in the stomach. Inscriptions have been found in Ephesus in which Nero is called "Almighty God" and "Savior". In Revelation 13:8a we learn that all the unsaved inhabitants of the world will worship the Beast.
Nero and Caligula "abandoned all reserve" in promoting emperor worship - they were the only two Roman Caesars who demanded divine honors while still alive. Nero claimed to be the sun-god Apollo. In 2 Thess 2:4 we read that the "Man of Sin" will proclaim that he is God! Revelation 17:8: The beast, which you saw, once was {alive}, Now {in AD 96} is not {alive} and will come up out of the ABYSS and go to his destruction. The inhabitants of the earth whose names have not been written in the book life. ... will be astonished when they see the beast, because he once was {Alive before AD 96}, now {In AD 96} is not {Alive} and yet will come. Rev 13:14: He {The False Prophet} will order the inhabitants of the earth to set up an image in honor of the beast who was {FATALLY-Rev 13:3} wounded by the sword and yet lived." Rev 13:3: �One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been HEALED!! The whole world was astonished and followed the beast. �
When I was a missionary in Israel I studied the Hebrew language. One of the first things that you learn when you study the OT Ancient Hebrew language {Which is also the language of Israel today!} is that the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet ALSO represent 22 numbers! When you read Psalm 119 you will note that the 176 sentences are divided into 22 sections; each section with 8 sentences or verses praising the Word of God. These 22 sections are each headed by one of the letters in the Hebrew alphabet in the exact same order as shown below. The ancient Hebrew language {Which is exactly the same as the modern Hebrew language} frequently used the letters of their alphabet to designate numbers in the OT as follows: ALEPH=1. BETH=2. GIMEL=3. DALET=4. HE=5. VAV=6. ZAYIN=7. CHETH=8. TETH=9. YODH=10. KAPH=20. LAMED=30. MEM=40. NUN=50. SAMEKH=60. AYIN=70. PE=80. TSADHE=90. KOPH=100. RESH=200. SHIN=300. TAV=400.
NOTE: Most vowel sounds except "O" {VAV} are not used as letters in Hebrew. These vowel sounds are designated by dots and dashes under their *PRECEDING* consonants. In Hebrew "N" is added on the end of all foreign names ending in "O". Therefore, the foreign name of Nero would be "NERON" in Hebrew. The name Nero Caesar would be pronounced Neron Kaysar in Hebrew. The "E" in Neron and the 2 "A" sounds in Kaysar {There is no "C" in Hebrew} are designated by dots and dashes under their preceding consonants and therefore are not letters in the 22 letter Hebrew alphabet, and so have no numerical value.
Neron in Hebrew would use 4 letters with numerical value: N-R-O-N and Kaysar in Hebrew would use 3 letters with numerical value: K-S-R. There would be a dot under the first N to show the "E" sound in NEron There would also be 2 dots under the "K" to show the "AY" sound in KAYsar and a dash under the "S" to show the "AH" sound in KaySAHr. The 4 letters with numerical value in NERON would be {SEE TABLE ABOVE} N = NUN = 50; R = RESH = 200; O = VAV = 6; and N = NUN = 50 and 50+20+6+50 equals 306. The 3 letters with numerical value in "KAYSAR would be K = KOPH = 100; S = SAMEKH = 60; and R = RESH =200 and 100+60+200 equals 360.
And so the numerical value of Nero in Hebrew is 306 and the numerical value of Caesar in Hebrew is 360, and therefore the numerical value of Nero Caesar is 306+360 or exactly *666*!
There is a very interesting footnote in the revised Standard Version concerning the number 666 which states that some ancient manuscripts have the number **616** which *DOUBLY* confirms that Nero Caesar may be the future Anti-Christ!! You will note that the Hebrew language adds an "N" to all foreign names ending in "O". Now "N" or "NUN" in Hebrew has a numerical value of **50**!! and so if you decided not to add the last "N" in NERON then Nero Caesar would add up to exactly *616* in Hebrew. This is an absolutely amazing coincidence!
Any honest Hebrew language scholar will confirm that the letters of Nero Caesar's name add up to 666 in the Hebrew language whose 22 letters are also 22 numbers as shown above, and the Bible was written by 40 Jews. Since all of the prophecies concerning the antichrist are written in OT Hebrew {Like Daniel 7:8-25} or NT Koine Greek it would then seem logical that God would use one of these 2 Bible languages to identify the Name of the Beast whose letters add up to 666. One of the problems of doing this in NT Koine Greek is that the letters of their alphabet are not also numbers. And therefore you can only assign a numerical value of 22 to the 22nd letter, etc.. Using this formula you could not get any name to add up to over 250, let alone 666. You have the same problem with English & all other languages other than the Hebrew language! The 3 different Greek words used in Rev 13:18b to arrive at the number 666 are the 3 different Greek words for 600 and 60 and 6 and not 6 +6 + 6.
And so the *6th Caesar {Julius, Augustus, Tiberius, Caligula, Claudius & the *6th* was NERO} ordered the execution of Paul & Peter in AD *66*. NERO fulfilled *ALL 7 BIBLE CLUES as to the identity of *666 and will be the Beast who comes up from the Abyss {Or Hell-See Rev 11:7 & Rev 17:8} in the coming Great Tribulation!!

2 Peter 1:19-21 says And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
Notice where it says, " no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation." We need to let the bible interpret itself, which it does very clearly. When we follow man's interpretation, that is when we fall into easy deception. Now you may think that I'm doing the same by following the 7th Day Adventist church blindly and that is not true at all. I grew up in a Lutheran and Presbyterian church and then later turned my back on God. I was just brought to the truth this last February. At first, yes, I followed the truth blindly. But then I had people telling me that I was following false doctrine and was in a cult. So I prayed to God to help bring light to the truth. God instantly began changing my interests from earthly desires to His desires. My entire focus has been on Him ever since! I've studied and read these prophecies inside and out so that I can understand the truth better and so that I can help guide others to the truth. Satan would love to attack the truth and make it look like a taboo or cult.

Revelation 13:5,7 The Beast {666} will exercise his authority for 42 {30-day} months {or 1260 days}... The Beast {666}, which you saw, once was {alive}, now is not {Alive in AD 96}, and will come up out of the Abyss {Or Hell} and go to his destruction {See Rev 19:19,20} ...This calls for a mind with wisdom. The 7 Heads are SEVEN HILLS {ROME} on which the WOMAN sits {Or reigns}... The 10 horns you saw are 10 kings who will give their authority to the Beast {666}...The WOMAN you saw is the great *CITY that rules over the kings of the earth.
Revelation 18:17-20,24 �Every sea captain, and all who travel by ship, the sailors, and all who earn their living from the sea, will stand far off. Most Bible scholars believe that the book of First Peter was written shortly after the beginning of Nero�s Roman persecution of Christians in AD 64 because of I Peter 4:12,13 & 5:8,9. We know that Peter and his wife were living in Rome at this time. Peter was inspired to write in I Peter 5:13: �She {Peter�s wife} who is in *BABYLON* {Nickname for *ROME*!} sends you her greetings, and so does my son Mark.� Apparently some Christians including Peter were inspired to call ROME �BABYLON� after Nero�s terrible persecution of Christians starting in AD 64. This is very interesting since the evil city of the End-Times is called �BABYLON� 6 times in Revelation 14:8; 16:19; 17:5; 18:2,10,21.
All encyclopedias agree that Babylon was completely evacuated in 275 BC and completely destroyed by 141 BC. The Wikipedia encyclopedia states, "By 141 BC, when the Parthian Empire took over the region, Babylon was in complete desolation and obscurity." The only question that remains is: Was Babylon rebuilt so that there could be people living in Babylon around AD 65 when Peter wrote 1 Peter 5:13??? Which leads us to the promises of God in Jeremiah 50:1-3,13: This is the word the Lord spoke through Jeremiah concerning Babylon.."Babylon will be captured... A nation from the north will attack her and lay waste her land. No one will live in it; both men and animals will flee away!" Also read Jeremiah 52:52:61-64: And God ALWAYS keeps His promises. If you check out the latest Iraqi Tour Guides you will notice the following statement: "Today, Babylon lies COMPLETELY in ruins. A large and splendidly carved stone lion is all that remains of its former glories."

It has always been known as the city on 6 mountains {Not Hills} as per Wikipedia {Jerusalem Mountains} which are {1} Mount Herzl {2} Mount of Olives {3} Mount Zion {4} Mount Scopus {5} temple Mount {6} Har Menuchot.
�Babylon� {Nicknamed Rome by Peter} is a �GREAT SEAPORT� in Rev 18:17-19; JUST LIKE ROME and UNLIKE Babylon whose ruins are NOW 4 miles from the very shallow Euphrates River; and UNLIKE Jerusalem which is 2000 to 3000 feet above sea level and 35 miles from the Mediterranean Sea. The mention of �seven hills� in conjunction with the Harlot Woman (Rev. 17:9) is often seen as an allusion to seven hills known to be associated with Rome:
The Rome view is also built upon the assumption that the seven hills of Revelation 17:9 identify the topography of the ancient city of Rome. Because literature of the ancient world contains dozens of references to the seven hills of Rome, the ancient city of Rome was universally known as the city of the seven hills. Thus, such a topographical reference would immediately suggest Rome in the minds of John�s original audience. This suggestion is especially true given the fact that the seven hills were the nucleus of the city on the left bank of the Tiber River and given the fact that an unusual festival called the septimontium received its name because of this topographical feature.
Rome has always been known as the CITY built on 7 Hills by Romulus from whom Rome gets its name. The following is a quote from Wikipedia Encyclopedia: The Seven Hills of Rome (Italian: Sette colli di Roma) east of the river Tiber form the geographical heart of Rome, within the walls of the ancient city. The SEVEN HILLS are: Aventine Hill, Caelian Hill, Captoline Hill, Palantine Hill, Quirinal Hill, Esquiline Hill, and Viminal Hill.
According to Wikipedia Rome is in the Lazio region of central Italy on the Tiber river (Italian: Tevere). The original settlement developed on hills that faced onto a ford beside the Tiber Island, the only natural ford of the river in this area. Modern Rome is also crossed by another river, the Aniene, which flows into the Tiber north of the historic centre. Although the city centre is about 24 kilometres (15 mi) inland from the Tyrrhenian Sea, the *CITY TERRITORY EXTENDS TO THE SHORE*, where the south-western district of Ostia is located.
In addition, the notion that John�s audience would have understood the imagery of Revelation 17 as referring to the topography of Rome seems strengthened by the discovery of the Dea Roma Coin minted in A.D. 71 in Asia Minor. One side of the coin contains the portrait of the emperor. The reverse side of the coin depicts Rome, a Roman pagan goddess, sitting on seven hills seated by the waters of the Tiber River. There are obvious similarities between the Dea Roma Coin and the imagery of Revelation 17. In both cases, the goddess and the harlot are seated on seven hills and are seated either on or by the waters (Rev. 17:1). In addition, the name of the goddess was thought by many Romans to be Amor, which is Roma spelled backwards. Amor was the goddess of love and sexuality. Thus, both the woman on the coin and the woman in Revelation 17 represent harlotry (Rev. 17:5). Furthermore, the coin equates Roma with the power of the Roman Empire, which was active in persecuting Christians of John�s day. The placement of Vespasian on one side of the coin and Roma on the other makes this connection. . . . The goddess is also pictured as holding a sword, which may depict Rome�s imperial power. This imagery parallels with the woman in Revelation 17 who is said to be drunk with the blood of the saints {Rev. 17:5,9}
WHO ARE OR WILL BE THE 8 KINGS OF REVELATION 17:10,11??
Rome appointed the Jewish Kings after they conquered Israel in 63 BC and the 7 KINGS of Revelation 13:1b all had �blasphemous names� so we can assume they were evil kings who had killed or persecuted Jesus and His followers. And so the first 3 evil kings who were called KINGS in God's Word {See Matt 2:1; Mark 6:25,26 & Acts 12:1} were all Israeli KINGS {Who had killed or persecuted Jesus and His followers} and were appointed by the evil city on 7 hills or Rome.

������ Note: Only those saints who will be given 2 wings of a large eagle will be able to enter this haven in the wilderness; and God�s saints should not try to get to this sanctuary in any other way. This haven could possibly be a place where new or backslidden saints receive a month of Bible study and could also include the 144,000 Jews who would be saved later and may have guest speakers like Moses and Elijah.
The location of this sanctuary may be on *MOUNT HERMON in Northeast Israel:

There He was transfigured before them, His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light. Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus..... A bright cloud enveloped them and a voice from the cloud said, �This is My Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to Him!�
�� 2 Peter 1:17,18: For He {Jesus} received honor and glory from God the Father when the Voice came to Him from the Majestic Glory saying. �This is My Son, Whom I love, with Him I am well pleased.� We ourselves heard this Voice that came from Heaven when we were with Him on the SACRED MOUNTAIN!! Psalm 133:3: �It is as if the dew of *MOUNT HERMON were falling on Mount Zion. For THERE the Lord bestows His blessing, even life forevermore.� Mount Zion is another name for Heaven as per Hebrews 12:22.
Mount Hermon means mountain of the �CHIEF� in Hebrew and is by far the HIGHEST {9232 feet} and LARGEST mountain in Israel covering almost 24 square miles. The mountain forms one of the greatest geographic resources of the area. Because of its height it captures a great deal of precipitation in a very dry area of the world. The Jurassic limestone is broken by faults and solution channels to form a karst topography. Mount Hermon has seasonal winter and spring snow falls which cover all three of its peaks for most of the year. Melt water from the snow-covered mountain's western and southern bases seeps into the rock channels and pores, feeding springs at the base of the mountain, which form streams and rivers. These merge to become the Jordan River. Additionally, the runoff facilitates fertile plant life below the snow line, where many VINEYARDS and APPLE TREES are abundant.
Jesus says, �You will be betrayed by your parents, brothers, children, relatives and friends and they will put some of you to death {See Rev 2:10}....They will lay hands on you and persecute you. They will deliver you to churches and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account **OF MY NAME**. This will result in your being witnesses to them.� {See Mark13:9-12 & Luke 21:12,13,16}
��� Mark 13:11: �When you are brought to trial {DURING THE GREAT TRIBULATION} do not worry about what to say, for it is not you speaking, but the *HOLY SPIRIT*.� This of course contradicts the ridiculous idea that the Holy Spirit will be removed from the saints during the Great Tribulation since Mark 13 is a Tribulation chapter. The only weapon the saints may use is the sword of the Spirit {Eph 6:17} which is the Word of God.
I Peter 1:13: �Therefore, prepare your minds for ACTION, and set your hope *FULLY* on the grace to be given YOU when Jesus Christ is *REVEALED*.
I Corinthians 1:7: �YOU do not lack any spiritual gift as YOU eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be *REVEALED*.�
Titus 2:13: �*WE* wait for the *BLESSED HOPE*�the glorious *APPEARING* of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.�
After reading everything you copied and pasted, there are several areas that we must cover in order for this all to make any sense. I will just briefly cover things on the devil and hell, but will likely post in the forums in much greater detail on those topics. I would like to add this before I go on... wish I would have said this in my first post. According to the Word, Christians are told not to give our own opinion of what a prophetic symbol means. We must allow the Word of God to define it's own symbols. Our private interpretations are useless. For example, the term "many waters" in prophecy doesn't mean a large lake or ocean, the word "woman" does not mean an actual woman. They are symbolic images hidden in plain site so as to prevent the wicked from knowing the truth about the times we live in. If they knew it, they would be more effective in their attack against God's remnant people, and that much more effective in twisting God's Word..
Many people believe that there are people in hell today. That's not true at all. Just look at 2 Peter 2:9 as it says, �The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished�. Matthew 13:40-42 says �As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.� John 12:48 says, � The word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.�
Those verses clearly show that sinners will be cast into hellfire at the great judgment day at the end of the world, not when they die. God would not punish a person in fire until his case was tried and decided in court at the end of the world. Also, God wouldn't burn a murderer who died 5,000 years ago 5,000 years longer than one who dies and deserves punishment for the same sin today. Job 21:30, 32 says �That the wicked is reserved to the day of destruction? they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath... Yet shall he be brought to the grave, and shall remain in the tomb.�
The Bible is very precise. Both the wicked and the righteous who have died are in their graves �sleeping� until the resurrection day.
Now many people believe that the wicked burn in hell for eternity. Do we have immortal bodies and souls? Matthew 10:28 says �And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.� Ezekiel 18:20 says �the soul who sins shall die� How can people burn in hell for eternity if they aren't clothed with immortality? Come on people... this is common sense here.
A few last things to cover on hell... the word �hell is used 54 times in the Bible, and in only 12 cases does it refer to �a place of burning�. According to my concordance bible that I used, in the old testament, hell was translated 31 times to the Hebrew word �Sheol� which means �the grave.� In the new testament it was translated 10 times from Greek to �Hades� which means �the grave�, 12 times to �Gehenna� which means �the place of burning�, and 1 time from �Tartarus� which means �a place of darkness.� Psalm 37:10, 20 says �For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more.� �The enemies of the Lord... shall vanish. Into smoke the shall vanish away.� God's purpose is that hell will destroy the devil and ALL sin and sinners and make the world safe for eternity. It is God's plan to blot sin out of existence for all time.
Ok now that we got hell covered lets focus on how the above pasted info that prophetic774 pasted doesn't fit with God's word.
For one... The book of Daniel wasn't used at all, which I find to be interesting enough. Daniel wrote Daniel 7, specifically for �the time of the end.� Daniel 12:4
In order for prophecy to be true it must match in ALL areas of Scripture. Does the above post seem to sound legit? At first glance it sure does. I read every word and it made me pull out my bible to see if it fit. With no surprise it does not. In SOME areas it does, but not every area. The papacy on the other hand does fit in every area.
In the above post, this was pointed out, �{{1}} The BEAST will be a "MAN OF SIN" or very sinful MAN as per 2 Thess 2:3 above.�
2 Thessalonians 2:3 says, �Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;� Where does it say that the beast will be a man of sin? And didn't Daniel say that the fourth beast would be a kingdom? How could a man be a kingdom?? Lets look past verse 3 and see what verse 4 says... �Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.� Hmm.... what did Daniel 7:8 say? �and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.� All these verses sure sound like the pope... Daniel 7:25 says �And he shall speak great words against the most High� Aka blasphemy. Look at what I typed earlier: �H. "It would speak great words against or blaspheme God."
Blasphemy has two definitions in Scripture:
Claiming to forgive sins (Luke 5:21)
Claiming to be God (John 10:33)
Does this point fit the papacy? Yes! Want evidence? In A Complete Catechism of the Catholic Religion by Joseph Deharbe on page 279 it says, "Does the Priest truly forgive the sins, or does he only declare that they are remitted? The Priest does really and truly forgive the sins in virtue of the power given to him by Christ." The papacy further undermines Jesus by setting up a system of confession to an earthly priest, thus bypassing Jesus, our High Priest (Hebrews 3:1; 8:1,2) and only Mediator ( 1 Timothy 2:5).
Now lets consider the evidence of it claiming to be God. Letter written by Pope Leo XIII dated June 20, 1894: We [the popes] hold upon this earth the place of God Almighty.
Here's another straight from the July 1895 issue of Catholic National: The pope is not only the representative of Jesus Christ, but he is Jesus Christ, Himself, hidden under the veil of flesh.�
Daniel 7:25 says �and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.�
What times and laws did Nero Caesar change? Were saints put into his control for 42 prophetic months or 1260 years? You see t his is what people are doing... they are picking and choosing verses to make it fit to their opinion of prophecies. They ignore the other verses that say otherwise. That is a very dangerous thing to do.
Revelation 13:18 says �It is the number of a man�. Now check this out... When we think of the papacy, what man do we think of? Naturally the pope. According to the Catholic's Nov. 15, 1914 issue of Our Sunday Visitor, under Answers to Readers' Questions it is asked, �What is the popes official name?� Well here is a Catholic quote, �The title of the pope of Rome is Vicarius Filii Dei� English translation: �Vicar the Son of God�.
Now yes, Nero Caesar's name adds to 666, but so does many other things. We need to look for a steady pattern. What I am going to post next is copied from a link that does a great job on explaining the 666 and the pope.
�Since this evidence came forth regarding the title, "Vicarius Filii Dei" and it's obvious connection to the 666 calculation of Revelation, which I will get to shortly. The Roman Church has opted to "teach" it's followers to declare this title "bogus." They have gone to great lengths seeking to do just that so as to remove the overwhelming evidence against them. Vicarius Filii Dei, is cited by the rector of Berlin, Andreas Helwig [or Helwich] (1572-1643) in his Antichristus Romanus as well.
You also might want to take a look at the actual facsimilie of the�NOV 15, 1914 edition of OUR SUNDAY VISITOR (A Catholic publication) that openly uses the term Vicarius Filli Dei, as well as state THE NAME IS INSCRIBED ON THE POPES MITRE!
Not only does that publication show the title, "Vicarius Filii Dei, it also explains that it IS considered a valid title as they do not refute that. Instead they attempt to explain why it is a trivial matter that it equals 666. The priest writing the article actually admits that title authentic to try and explain away it's obvious 666 connection!
By the way, Roman Catholic Author, and Jesuit priest Malachi Martin, also uses the exact same title for the Pope on pages 114 and 122 of his book, "The Keys of this Blood."
One more note of interest! �Why is it I ask, that when you go to the archives of "Our Sunday Visitor" that this particular edition is all together missing? Why is it oh so difficult to get a copy of page THREE of the Nov 15, 1914 "Our Sunday Visitor?" It will become very obvious in a moment.

I'm not quoting anything from Ellen White. Everything I'm quoting is straight from my king james bible. And when did I ever say that Jerusalem was the city on 7 hills? I didn't. It is the Roman papacy that is built on 7 hills or mountains.

Jesus said 7 times in the New Testament that there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth in hell in Matthew 8:12; 13:42; 13:50; 22:13; 24:51; 25:30 and Luke 13:28.
Interesting Qestion: How can someone weep and gnash his teeth if he has been annihilated ???
Revelation 14:9-11: If anyone worships the Beast {666} and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, he, too, will drink of the wine of God's fury...He will be tormented with burning sulfur ... and the smoke of their torment rises FOR EVER AND EVER.. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the Beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name.
Revelation 19:19,20; 20:10: But the Beast will be captured and with him the False Prophet, who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf {See Rev 13:10-17]. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the Beast and worshipped his image. The two of them were thrown *ALIVE* into the firy lake of burning sulfur....And the Devil who deceived them, will be thrown alive into the lake of burning sulfur, where the Beast and the False Prophet had been thrown. They will be *TORMENTED DAY AND NIGHT FOR EVER AND EVER !!
According to the 7th Day Adventists all of the writings and books by Ellen White were inspired by God. It is interesting to note that the 66 books of the OT and NT were written and inspired by God by 40 **JEWISH MEN**. Ellen White is not Jewish and she of course is not a man. According to God's Word all of the Elders and Overseers of the church must be men; and women are not even allowed to speak or **TEACH MEN** in the church meetings.
I Timothy 2:11,12: A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to **TEACH** or to have authority over a man, she must be silent!
I Corinthians 14:33-35: As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says, If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church!
I Timothy 3::1,2: Here is a trustworthy saying. If anyone sets his heart on being an OVERSEER, **HE** desires a noble task. Now the overseer must be above reproach, the *HUSBAND* of but one wife!
Titus 1:5-7: The reason I left you in Crete was that you might straighten out what was left unfinished and appoint *ELDERS* in every town, as I directed you. An *ELDER* must be blameless, the *HUSBAND* of but one wife, a **MAN** whose children believe. Since an *OVERSEER* is entrusted with God's work **HE** must be blameless!
Obviously there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth as there will be some torture until they are burnt to ashes. But tell me, will the wicked have immortal souls and bodies? How are they going to survive for all eternity in torture and hell fire if they aren't immortal? Jesus gives the righteous immortality, not the wicked. 1 Corinthians 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
Then we have Matthew 10:28 says �And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.� And Ezekiel 18:20 says �the soul who sins shall die�.
Come on, even an elementary kid could figure this out. And about Ellen White... how many times have I mentioned her? My main focus is on Jesus and the truth. I don't need Ellen White to tell me all this to realize the truth. All I need is God and His Word. But you can just keep listing all your nonsense theories at me, not gonna change my mind. When the wicked are thrown into the lake of fire they are going to be burnt to ash just like anything else that is mortal. Duh. Lol
Luke was likely a Gentile and Acts was written by Luke so there is a potential that two books are written by a gentile. 66 books is referencing post 1885 KJV and the Bibles that are based on the post 1885 KJV that removed the Apocrypha. I cannot agree removing parts and that includes removing the margin notes form the Geneva bible which the 1611 KJV did.
