Posted : 1 Jul, 2015 10:40 AM The "day of evil" is near so let us put on the FULL armor of God required to endure through the Great tribulation. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of TRUTH buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of RIGHTOUSNESS in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the GOSPEL OF PEACE. 16 In addition to all this, take up the SHIELD OF FAITH, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the HELMET OF SALVATION and the SWORD OF THE SPIRIT, which is the word of God. Eph 6:13-17 I believe that to the degree that we are not fully armored we will we weakened for enduring until the end of the Great tribulation. I noticed that "truth" is listed first. Does your armor have any weaknesses? Are you believing false doctrines? Are you compromising any truths for the sake of your friends and family? Is your weapon spiritual(the word of God) or do you own a gun to use against your enemies? Are you walking by faith working through love? etc. etc.. We may all have some holes in our armor. " I was with ya (mimi) until you slipped that one in! Amazing how you sneak back in this site when you were indeed banned. You got some integrity dont ya? So now to reply to your almost sensible post. If you study your Bible, you have come across many a historical story of using the sword ! To everything there s a season. If someone busts into my house and is about to kill one of my kids or grandchildren , Should I shrink back and allow it or shoot them out of defense? The answer is obvious! Of course God will honor me defending my family! Dont confuse godless reprisal for self defense. May Gods grace abide........... Post Reply

Posted : 2 Jul, 2015 07:13 PM The bible condemns aggression and violence, but it applauds the defense of the oppressed and the innocent. I don't believe should we defend ourselves with violence against persecution for our faith, but the bible never says that we should just stand by and watch evil prevail against the helpless. Weapons are not condemned in the bible, and although mercy plays a large role in whatever we do, we are not called to be pacifists. :peace::peace: Post Reply
