Posted : 5 Dec, 2015 08:43 PM I came across this Scripture in my studies Isa 44:6 6 �Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God. Why do some Christians believe GOD and Jesus are not One in the same? Post Reply

I read in this Scripture...LORD of Israel and his "redeemer" the LORD of hosts are both YHWH in the Hebrew. Jesus/Yahshua is the "Redeemer". Post Reply

Posted : 7 Dec, 2015 02:45 PM Did you actually read that chapter in context; or did you just pull out that verse with a Trinitarian bias, and replace the word "his" with the name "Jesus?" Why didn't you apply the same technique to the word "his" in the preceding verse? No, YHWH is not Jesus. Isaiah 42 8 I am YHWH: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images." Exodus 3 15 God, furthermore, said to Moses, "Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ' YHWH, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.' This is My name FOREVER, and this is My memorial-name to all generations. Isaiah 44 24 �This is what YHWH says� your Redeemer, who formed you in the womb: I am YHWH, the maker of all things, who stretches out the heavens, who spreads out the earth by myself. Post Reply
