At the Pool of Bethesda, healing was good for one person-the first one to get in the water. The scripture sets up the plight of the man looking for healing at the pool. The man was sick, had an infirmity, impotent, lacking in power and strength. The man was helpless and suffering from a sickly disease. This man represents all who are presently in need of healing. God heals everybody physically, mentally and emotionally. You can be just frustrated and God heals that too. God also heals relationships that need to be healed in our lives. You don�t have to be mad and fighting to have a breech in a relationship. Married couples sleep in same bed and can�t have decent conversations. People sit on same pew at church and can�t stand each other.
The name Bethesda means house of mercy and house of grace. You can compare this to the church. The Pool of Bethesda where this man was at, was a place of expected healing. We can be in a place of expected healing. We can stand in many healing prayer lines and it still looks like healing is not coming. It doesn�t matter how many healing services you�ve been in, don�t give up. If you keep hanging around the church, Jesus will show up and you will be healed.
The man in our text had two obstacles to his healing. He had limited opportunity and lack of support. The troubling of water by the angel let only the first person in the pool get healed. Then the man had no one to help him get into the pool. These were the obstacles the man at the pool had to face. Only the first person in line got healed. The truth is some of us have never been first in line for anything. Some are slow physically, some are slow of understanding and some are slow to believe or catch on. With us Christians, it doesn�t matter if we are first or last cause all we have to do is get in the presence of Jesus Christ!!!!
The man at the pool had been there for 38 years. This tells us that no matter how long you have been in it, God has not given up and will take care of you. He will heal you. The longevity of his sickness is what caught Jesus� attention. Thirty eight years the angel had troubled the waters and the man could never be first but instead saw others get healed. In our situations, we individually are the next person in line! We are next in line, first in line and Jesus will heal us right on time! Jesus saw a lot sick people on the different porches/levels around the pool. He kept looking until He found the man on the 5th porch. Jesus knew the man had been there a long time. It doesn�t matter how long we been sick, unhappy or shut out from blessings. Jesus will make us whole. Jesus asked the man did he want to get well. When Jesus asked this, the man was more into talking about his disappointments then answering the question. Jesus could have said �I didn�t ask you all that�. When God tells us that He�s getting ready to bless us, don�t let our disappointments speak out above or over our faith.
In this case, Jesus ignored what the man said and told him to rise, get up and walk. Somebody here today needs deliverance. Take a step of faith and do what the Lord says. Rise, get up and walk! Jesus said that those that believe shall lay hands on the sick, speak in new tongues and cast out devils. Jesus said that we can be healed and set free. As we leave here today, go tell somebody in the name of Jesus to be healed. We will praise God for the deliverance. Jesus wants to meet each of us at our Pool of Bethesda. When He meets us, may our response be Hallelujah, Thank You Jesus! We will all be healed by Jesus!

All of the events in the 70 7's prophecy in Daniel 9:24-27 except one; has or will take place in the 70 7's time period and is found in Daniel 9:26:
Daniel 9:26: The people of the {Roman} ruler who will come {In AD 70} will destroy the city {Jerusalem} and the Sanctuary. The end will come like a flood. War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed.
The **ANOINTED ONE** prophesied of these events a week before He was **CUT OFF** when He **ATONED FOR WICKEDNESS** and put an **END TO ALL SACRIFICES FOR SIN** in Luke 21:6,20-24: Jesus prophesied, "As for what you see here {The Temple}, the time will come when not stone will be left on another; every one of them will be thrown down... When you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea, flee to the mountains. Let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city for this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written {In Daniel 9:26} There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people They will fall by the sword and taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem shall be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
The times of the Gentiles was fulfilled for most of Jerusalem on May 14th, 1948 and the rest of Jerusalem was taken from Gentile rule on June 7th, 1967.
Then there are {**5**} events in Daniel 9:24-27 that will take place on the Last Day of the 70 7's:
70 7's are decreed to:
{**1**} ** FINISH** transgression**
{**2**} ** Put an **END TO SIN**
{**3**} ** SEAL UP** vision and prophecy**
{**4**} ** Bring in **EVERLASTING RIGHTEOUSNESS**
{**5**} ** Have the *DECREED END* poured out on 666
This decreed end was prophesied in Revelation 19:20 and 2 Thessalonians 2:8: And then the Lawless One will be revealed {For 42 months}, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of His mouth and destroy by the splendor of His Coming!
And then we will have **EVERLASTING RIGHTEOUSNESS** that will put an **END TO SIN** and **FINISH TRANSGRESSION** on the Last Day of the 70 7 that will **SEAL UP** an **END** **VISION AND PROPHECY**!
Now there are some who suggest that there will be a 1,000 year reign by Jesus in this present earth in the Ezekiel Temple as per Ezekiel chapters 40-48 which has thousands of animal **SACRIFICES FOR SIN* for people with earthly bodies as per Ezekiel 45:15,17,19,22,23. Ezekiel 45:22: On that day the Prince is to provide a bull as a **SIN OFFERING FOR HIMSELF** and **FOR ALL THE PEOPLE** of the land????
Hebrews 9:26-28: But now He has appeared **ONCE FOR ALL** at the end of the ages to do away with sin **BY THE SACRIFICE OF HIMSELF**!! Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, and **CHRIST WAS SACRIFICED ONCE TO TAKE AWAY SINS** of many people, and He will appear a second time, **NOT TO BEAR SIN**, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him!!
Hebrews 10:8-10: First He said, "Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings **YOU DID NOT DESIRE NOR WERE YOU PLEASED WITH THEM** although the law required them to be made. Then He said, "Here I am, I have come to do Your will." He sets aside the first **TO ESTABLISH THE SECOND**. And by that will, we have been made holy through the **SACRIFICE** of the body of Jesus Christ **ONCE FOR ALL**!!
Hebrews 7:27: Unlike the other high priests He does not need to offer *SACRIFICES** day after day, first for His own sins, and then for the sins of the people. **HE SACRIFICED FOR THEIR SINS ONCE FOR ALL** when He offered Himself!!
Whereas, we read In Ezekiel 45:15,17: These will be used for the grain offerings and **BURNT OFFERINGS** to make **ATONEMENT** for the people...He {The Prince} will provide the **SIN** offerings, grain offerings and **BURNT OFFERINGS** to make **ATONEMENT** for the house of Israel.
There are some who teach that after the 2nd coming of Jesus that some of the saints who are alive at the 2nd coming of Jesus will **NOT** receive their new heavenly bodies and they will then populate the present earth. They will live about 100 years and have children; some which will also be saved. And then Jesus will come to the present earth and rule the world in the Ezekiel Temple in Jerusalem mentioned in Ezekiel 40:1 to Ezekiel 48:35 for 1,000 years.
And then when the 1,000 years are completed there will be the resurrection and Judgment of all the lost even though 2 Thess 1:6-10 Matthew 25:31-46 John 5:28,29 John 12:48 and Daniel 12:1.2 show that the lost will be resurrected judged and sent to hell on the same Last Day as the saved. Another big contradiction in this scenario is that Jesus would reign in the earthy Jerusalem with a small number of His saints and be away from most of His saints who will be in heaven for 1,000 years???? However John 14:2,3 and I Thess 4:16-18 completely contradicts this heresy.
John 14:2,3: Jesus says, ".I am going to prepare a place for you. And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be **WITH ME THAT YOU MAY BE WHERE I AM**!!"
I Thessalonians 4:16-18: The dead in Christ will rise first. After that we who are still alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so **WE WILL BE WITH THE LORD FOREVER**!! Therefore encourage each other with these words!!
There are some extreme problems with this Ezekiel Temple scenario; since in the symbolic Ezekiel Temple there are thousands of **ANIMAL SACRIFICES** every year for **SIN** and for **ATONEMENT** for the people as per Ezekiel 45:15,17,19,22,23.

The leader of the Temple in Ezekiel is called the Prince and is mentioned 16 times in Ezekiel chapters 45 to 48. However the Prince could not be the Divine Jesus since he provides animal sacrifices for his own sin in Ezekiel 45:22: which states: "On that day the **PRINCE** is to provide a bull as a **SIN OFFERING FOR HIMSELF** and for all the people of the land."????
Ezekiel 48:32: On the east side {Of the Temple} will be 3 gates: the gate of Joseph, the gate of Benjamin and the gate of ***DAN***???
Dan was an extremely evil idol worshiping area in Israel as per I Kings 12:29,30 & 2 Kings 10:29!! And so the tribe of Dan was **ELIMINATED** as one of the 12 tribes of Israel and is replaced by the name the firstborn son of Joseph named Manasseh in the 12 tribes of Israel mentioned in Revelation 7:5-8!!
**THE IDEA THAT SOME OF GOD'S SAINTS WHO ARE ALIVE AT HIS COMING WILL NOT RECEIVE THEIR ETERNAL HEAVENLY BODIES IS ALSO CONTRADICTED BY GOD'S WORD**:
I Corinthians 15:50-52; I declare to you, brother, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep {saints who have died will sleep in Christ {See John 5:28,29 & Daniel 12:1,2} except for the Martyrs and the 24 Elders who will be awake} but **WE WILL **ALL** BE CHANGED**--in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the will be raised imperishable, and **WE WILL BE CHANGED**!!
Philippians 3:21,22: But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables Him to bring everything Under His control, will **TRANSFORM OUR LOWLY BODIES** so that hey will **BE LIKE HIS GLORIOUS BODY**!
I John 3;2,3: We know that **WHEN HE APPEARS, WE SHALL BE LIKE HIM**!! Everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, Just as He is pure!!
2 Peter 3:10-13 But the **DAY OF THE LORD** will come like a thief {To unbelievers- See I Thess 5:4,5 & Rev 3:3}. The heavens will **DISAPPEAR** with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be burned up! You ought to live holy and godly lives as you **LOOK FORWARD TO THE DAY OF GOD**. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with His promise **WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO A NEW HEAVEN AND A NEW EARTH**, the home of righteousness!! { And so God's saints are not looking forward to some saints reigning with Jesus in an earthly kingdom for 1,000 years}
Revelation 21:1-5: Then I saw a **NEW HEAVEN and a **NEW EARTH**, for the first heaven and the first earth **HAD PASSED AWAY**, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the **NEW JERUSALEM**, coming down out of heaven from God prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and He will live with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be **NO MORE DEATH** or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making **EVERYTHING NEW**!" Then He said, "Write this down, for these words are **TRUSTWORTHY AND TRUE**!!!"
**WHAT EVENTS TOOK PLACE DURING 69 1/2 7's or 486 1/2 years**??
Luke 3:22,23: When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as He was praying, heaven was opened and the Holy Spirit descended on Him {ANOINTED} like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: "You are My Son, whom I love, with You I am well pleased!"
70 7's are decreed to
{**1**} **ANOINT THE MOST HOLY** From the issuing of the decree {By King Cyrus- Isaiah 48:} to restore an rebuild Jerusalem until the **ANOINTED ONE COMES** there will be 62 7's and 7 7's {Or 69 7's which is 483 years} which took place on October 5th, AD 29.
{**2**} **After the 62 7's {7 1/2 7's after} the **ANOINTED ONE WILL BE CUT OFF** {On April 3-5, AD33 which was exactly 1278 days or 3 1/2 years after He was Anointed}
{**3**} **He {The Anointed One} will confirm a **COVENANT** with many for one seven. In the middle of the {LAST} seven {After 3 1/2 years} He will put an **END TO SACRIFICE** and offering {For sin}
This event must be **INCLUDED** in the 70 7's since Daniel 9:24 states that "70 7's are decreed... **TO ATONE FOR WICKEDNESS**!! **AND THE ANOINTED ONE WILL BE CUT OFF**!!
And for 31/2 years after His anointing Jesus confirmed a New Covenant to many which included what would happen in the 42 months just before His 2nd Coming in Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21 and in Revelation.
Revelation 1:1; 22:16: The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants must take place!... "I, Jesus, have sent My angel to give you this testimony for the churches!!"
Revelation 13:5: The Beast {Abomination of Desolation} will exercise his authority for**42 MONTHS**... And he will be given authority over every tribe, people language and nation. All inhabitants of the earth will worship the Beast--all whose names have not been written in the Book of Life belonging to the **LAMB** that was slain. {When He **ATONED FOR WICKEDNESS** an put an **END TO ALL SACRIFICES FOR SIN**}
Jesus is called the **LAMB** 30 times in the book of Revelation!!
I Peter 1:18,19: For you know that was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were **REDEEMED** from the empty way of life handed down to you by your forefathers, but with the **PRECIOUS BLOOD OF CHRIST**, a **LAMB** without blemish or defect!!
