I happend to be a christian who don't mind dating outside my race as long as u love the Lord. The only problem is no other race will approach me, are they afraid? I ride the METRA train weekly to work and I'm surrounded by diffrent races surely some one would want to approach me? I prefer to be approached. Sometimes I give them a smile and some of them return it and that's the futherest it goes. I also live in a mixed neighborhood, I'm a homowner and still no approaches. What could be the problem? Of course any man can be a charming loving godly husband/father to one's children, but if you ask about my preferences... I am not a racists, but oh well... I am not physically attracted to Black/Asian men. And chemistry between people/attraction is important! What can I do? I am not saying that I want to find my own Brad Pitt or George Clooney - it's not about 'perfect looks'. What would that be anyways? I believe it simply lies in our DNA what looks/smells/tastes we find appealing. And so far I have only met white (caucasian or some middle-eastern) men whom I considered attractive. You may call me a conformist but I would also not like to date/marry someone who is shorter than me even though there's objectively nothing wrong with that. I mean, biologically we are 'compatibile' and able to procreate with anyone, no matter the ethnicity/size/height/weight/eye colour. We're all human. But we all have our likes. So I do have some non-white friends I hang out and attend my Bible study with - of course I don't mind that lol. But however lovely smart attentive and even handsome they are - there are no butterflies in my stomach :) I'd say it's different with different people. God bless, m. Post Reply

There is nothing wrong with dating outside of your race...shouldn't be about color anyway. should be about finding a Godly man or woman. Love has no color... Post Reply
Soteriangels View Profile History	Open to date outside of race Posted : 15 Jun, 2011 01:59 AM I believe the reason this happen is that some people have a particular mindset, and some particular mindset can be attributed to a race/ethnic. For instance some men's way of thinking about women, how they see a woman as wife, what it means to them, it's truly based on mindset, how they were raised to believe what a woman is about as a wife, friend, employer, business woman etc etc... Unfortunately some race do have another mindset they do not think outside the box, and it is scary to trust that this is going to be alright, when it is not, for a man who's 35 and was raised this typical way, will take time to shift his mindset, lots of work, and if it will come from the spouse/fiancee/friend it won't work only God can shift his mindset. That is why if someone is trying to reach out to other race they should make sure that they have the mindset that God wants them to have, cause God's mindset always work. Post Reply
