The desert blooms



Melting sands, lakes of glass

40 days and nights will surely pass

The sky so-rich, the only thing that moves

All the empty highways I once knew



The moon races by, like a clock in the sky

Hour upon hour, my perceptions collide

I imagine hearing the sound of running water

I think I smell the sea

With each drop of sweat, life pours from me



A burning-star rising, waves of colors explode

Another day of yearning, my half-empty soul

Locked in a battle of sanity and nerves

Reality twist and turns as my delusions burn



Satan appears with a cold drink and preserves

Tempt me Not, to give up my quest

My kingdom is not of this world or haven�t you guessed

My Lords words, Oh, they could be mine

Give-up Satan�s material things and his world of crime



For God gave his son to fill my spirit at-last

What more could I ask for, what more? but what�s last

Life�s the journey, the soul has to take

Jailed in this body, my Creators mistake?



Death will set my spirit free

To roam through the jungles, valleys and trees

To swim in a mountain lake along-side a trout

Or shower in a whales water-spout

To take a plunge to the deepest part of the sea

And fly over-head and wave at astronaut Lee

Planet to planet, from here to eternity

Thank you Lord for thinking about me.
