Cyber relationships through social media

As a christian man I have noticed that 97% of all women on all these dating sites want to establish a cyber relationship using social media outlets.

I refuse to allow such a relationship whatever happened to picking up the phone and calling someone or emailing someone but better yet whatever happened to writing a letter, you do know that the postal service still delivers mail, I am old school there is nothing like calling and talking on the phone or writing a letter that is the correct way to get to know someone not in cyber space.

Old school is much better than social media, however it is what it is. I hope you enjoy your visit here.

The advantage of email is that you can you contact someone at anytime of the day and reply whenever you wish.

The main downfall with email is that you can write something and it be taken a whole other way than what you intended. You can't hear or see how the other person has understood your message as intended. You can't validate or explain unless the other gives you that opportunity. We all come from different backgrounds and as much as you believe you are clear, sometime.....

Also being anonymous may help some to express thoughts/feelings that they wouldn't face to face. I have found some comments to be gems, others being Oceanisms (things I would say or think). I have actually laughed out loud more than once.

I signed in as a hesitant, non-believing, I will just take a look person and now I participate in the forums. Do these sites work? I certainly hope so.

I do not get on here much because of all the rudeness and negative talk.

Is there any real christian's on this site if so they sure do not act like christian's but who am I to judge I will let God do that.

For all those who responded to my post in a negative way I wish everyone a very happy and safe Thanksgiving.

Jayzee... no need for confusion. Virtuality should be the launching point, not the destination.
