Praying about that again today, met a guy on here, who declared I'm his "Eve" etc., my position was, 1 step at a time, and willing to develop friendship & relationship. Calling/ texting my phone daily... and Was coming to my State/City to spend 3 -4 days getting to know me and see where it goes...all the way up to Thursday am. From Thurs-PM to arrival time 2-20, not another word, text, email, etc. Been guarding my heart and keeping it before God the whole time. But the thing that bothers me is this: since he said he was interested and the more we shared seemed to like me more, then would you at least as a fellow human being, (not restricted to Christians, OK) have the courtesy & decency to say you're not coming! Plans, Preparations were being made (even the weather was absolutely beautiful for the events we-would have shared) and his arrival was anticipated... Am Ok, Trusting God, they must have been wrong and maybe wrong for me too! But really want to know why this keeps happening... I mean, nothing - input Please? Thanks Post Reply

Posted : 22 Mar, 2011 09:37 PM Well my sister in Christ, Although this may not seem too comforting, but maybe that person was not the perfect will of God for your life and God will not let anything come upon us. Maybe God is hiding you for the one whom he predestined for you. It is unfortunate that this person did not possess any integrity, but I pray that God will give you the desire of your heart. About 5 months ago I met a girl and we dated for about 4 months and bang gone with no excuse of why or what happened. But I am saying immaturity and lack of commitment, I was raised once I started something I had to finish it and that carried over into my marriage. For 2 years she fought breast cancer and i fought just as hard as she did instead of running away I held her hand and was there for her very last breath of life. Our society today teaches if it gets tough or its boring or what ever quit, move on, there is someone for you. The problem with that way of thinking is we are constantly changing and growing hopefully from glory to glory but it all starts with me as a person if its boring or hard work through it or make it exciting yeah it might take some work but its worth it to have that someone who has been through thick an thin to stand beside you. Besides when you go "poof" you provide no stability for your mate that tells me they are afraid of commitment and therefor provide no level of saftey for me or my kids. This feels like random words but there is so much to say about this topic but mostly it starts within ourselves. I try to live by a saying "Its how we react to a situation that more important than the situation its self" Anyways you can delete this if you don't agree but thanks for letting me post have a blessed day!
