Posted : 17 Feb, 2011 08:47 AM Hello gentleman, There was a post in the girls section by Boaz which made me think to ask you this since this is who I feel she is. "If a woman is so lost in God she is worth her weight in gold. Her intent is to do everything His Way and His Way is what will give everyone the desire of their heart in her life. Her spouse will receive respect and submission in love, her children with know that they are loved with the teaching of character in Christ, her friends are blessed because they know her and her family will reap the rewards of her generosity in all she does." Why or why not do you feel she might actually exist? If you can see a woman who is in progress to this place within her life would you be willing to be patient with what God is doing in her life? Why or why not? I'm actually interested in anyone's viewpoint here... Post Reply

I think all things are possible with God, my mother was pretty close to a proverbs woman, this is my opinion. We are all a work in progress I agree yet we need to give grace to others since we all fall short. She does exist or God wouldn't have told us about her. "A man isn't supposed to wait for her, he is supposed to find her and not settle for less." My opinion here... Post Reply

I believe my grand-mother was indeed a Proverbs 31 women but her generation was a simpler time. I think men have a much harder time finding one today. Posted : 18 Feb, 2011 10:56 PM Notice that her husband safely trusts her and he himself sits at the gates and is known as a good man with the elders of the land? Sounds like a beautiful marriage to me and I'm going to experience that someday. I am and was this woman in a one-way street marriage in the past with a man that sat at the gates...of jail.... was known by the elders, lawyers, police officers and judges. He safely trusted me, though, through 27 years of rough waters and to this day, honors me as that woman. God bless the men who see the heart of a good woman... not perfect... but loves the Lord. 10 Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies. 11 The heart of her husband safely trusts her; So he will have no lack of gain. 12 She does him good and not evil All the days of her life. 13 She seeks wool and flax, And willingly works with her hands. 14 She is like the merchant ships, She brings her food from afar. 15 She also rises while it is yet night, And provides food for her household, And a portion for her maidservants. 16 She considers a field and buys it; From her profits she plants a vineyard. 17 She girds herself with strength, And strengthens her arms. 18 She perceives that her merchandise is good, And her lamp does not go out by night. 19 She stretches out her hands to the distaff, And her hand holds the spindle. 20 She extends her hand to the poor, Yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy. 21 She is not afraid of snow for her household, For all her household is clothed with scarlet. 22 She makes tapestry for herself; Her clothing is fine linen and purple. 23 Her husband is known in the gates, When he sits among the elders of the land. 24 She makes linen garments and sells them, And supplies sashes for the merchants. 25 Strength and honor are her clothing; She shall rejoice in time to come. 26 She opens her mouth with wisdom, And on her tongue is the law of kindness. 27 She watches over the ways of her household, And does not eat the bread of idleness. 28 Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her: 29 � Many daughters have done well, But you excel them all.� 30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised. 31 Give her of the fruit of her hands, And let her own works praise her in the gates Post Reply

Two and Gomer bring up a good point....she's married, so none of us have a chance to prove we're like her until we are married. Posted : 19 Feb, 2011 09:55 AM Browneyed girl, She works diligently at whatever she does, she is not a whiner or complainer, but rather a encourager looking at the bright side of things. She is not contrary, always disagreeing over stuff that doesn't matter. She is complimentary to the relationship instead of competitive. She puts me first in the relationship, with allows me to put her first in the relationship. A woman that knows the difference between equality and postion in and embraces it in a relationship. It is kinda sad nowadays; Men with a old fashioned Biblical view wanting a woman with the same view has the odds stacked against him. The modern Woman wants 1/2 a old fashioned Biblical man; one who is going to love and be kind to her and their children, be 100% faithful and trustworthy, hardworking and a decent provider. Yet she refuses the 1/2 of him that expects her to fulfill her role in coming under his headship. Post Reply
