Admin	I Need More Than Just A Picture Posted : 9 Aug, 2009 08:30 PM hello my brothers in Christ. when i get winks or emails from men, i look at their profiles. i've discovered many profiles of men with only a sentence or two. so there's not much there to get a feel of the person and so i do not respond. it's a shame really because he could be this great guy, but he's not giving anyone the opportunity to discover it. and so this is my question, is it wrong or rude of me to: (1) not respond (2) write back telling him that i need more than just a picture how should i handle the situation? suggestions please. thank you. Ole Cattle says just write 'em and ask...I've actually done both...just not responded and messaged back and asked for more info, but I've had a couple times where I asked for more details about the guy (his beliefs, his interests, etc.) and never got a response. ??? Why message in the 1st place??? I know, who knows with online dating what is going on on their end? All I know is that I much prefer to have a little something to go on in the first place. I don't need a full autobiography, but come on...I agree...I need more than just a picture. (It's kind of like throwing a fishing line with a hook in the water with no bait on it. I agree - like, I know it's hard to write profiles and stuff, but c'mon - give us something to go on. I like the recommendations made so far - although I'm a brutally honest kind of guy myself, not intending to be rude, but c'mon! Why should I respond to someone who writes a one-sentence email, or sends a wink, and they're profile says even less than the wink did??? On the other hand, if you say nothing, then these guys, or whoever it is, *never improves their profile.* And so they're going to have the same problem - somebody's gotta tell them sooner or later...
