I would like to thank all of the people who have and who are currently serving in the U.S. armed Forces. I at one had a dream, The dream of becoming a U.S. Navy SEAL. I did all the research and studying to become one of americas finnest! but God had different plans for me as i know now, my dream of becoming a SEAL was not going to heppen. I still have much pride for the SEALs.

Freedom isnt free, Many people of our armed forces have paid the ultimate price for that freedom. and theres no way i can show my thanks to them and there families for what they did. The other day i was sent an Email from one of my favorite sites "NavySEALs.com" in the Email were around 20 or more names of SEALs who have paid the ultimate price. I couldnt emagine what they went through, i prayed that they had found their way to Jesus and if i know SEALs then i know they put up on heck of a fight! HooYAH!

For everyone who has served and is still serving in our armed forces I thank you!

Thanks again!

I always tell people in uniform thank you for serving. I had one young guy almost start crying when I said that at a gas station...but I do it because I genuinelyam greatful......not only for the sacrifices of our servicemen, but those of their families too. My friend Sara lost her dad a year ago in Iraq...people don't realize how much the families sacrifice also. So thank you to all of you and your families. God bless!

I tried that whole SEAL thing... Isn't all it's cracked up to be. You know the attrition rate is outrageous. Well it's about 1000% harder for someone with morals, values, and faith for that matter. They teach "If you ain't cheatin, you ain't tryin." And some instructors prefer porn to be displayed in the room, or you fail inspections... So, either bow to man, or walk away and find something more rewarding. Now I serve as a Religious Program Specialist in the Navy, Doin god's work.

I agree, "THANK YOU"! My daughter has a friend who has my great Respect and Admiration. Brian is 21 years old and a new dad--- 5 days ago he became the proud father of a little boy named charles. He'll be leaving soon, (July 29th): he's being deployed to Iraq. Please join me in prayer for his safe return. Brian is only one of the thousands upon thousands of young men that we, as believers, should be lifting up in prayer; also remember the families of these young men who are living daily with the reality that we are at war.

Thank You, Brian! GOD BLESS!

ECCLESIASTES CHAPTER 3

1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

I can't tell you all enough what it means to me to live in a free country because of your sacrifice. My late husband was a Vietnam Vet and our life was surrounded by the memories of that era. I am so proud of you all. Keep your chin up and know that there are those praying for you on a daily basis. Those of you who have served and returned, please know that your service will not have been in vain, regardless of the crass comments from those who have no idea how blessed they are because of you. HooRah!!!

So umm I have a question, if a Christian kills an enemy soldier even if there non-Christian will he be forgiven? What if it's a fellow Christian he kills like WW2 when Germans were fighting with Americans and such? Answers kind of go into a gray area here since you're commiting a sin, but then again almost everything will be forgiven, no ?

Vaj,

I just checked out your profile and cool pics of paintings by the way. In your other forum topic you where thinking of joining the military and had questions about killing someone. I answered that post and now answer this.

As Fireflie stated above, there are many ways to serve in the military without having to kill. He serves as a chaplain, I served in the dental field. No army goes to war without first counting the cost to see if they have what it takes to win. An army moves on its stomach is an old adage.

The logistics of moving and supporting an armed force is mind boggling but all parts of it are important. Some cook, some heal, some comfort, some kill. All have their role to play in defending freedom. Our armed forces are doing a job not to kill but to show the world freedom. Freedom comes with cost. Sometimes that cost is our lives and if thats to be so be it, for we all must make that decision on whether we can take a life as well as if we are willing to lay ours down for our families, our cities, our country, our world, and our God.

To each of us is given a measure of faith and we go and grow from faith to faith and glory to glory. Let each do according to the measure of their faith and let no man judge another for there is one Judge and He died to bring first a sword and then peace to all men.

We all are in the age of time where we hear of wars and rumors of wars and our job is to shine. We shine with different brightnesses based upon the level of our faith which is increased by our willingness to carry our crosses that it might bring to death the old man in us that the new man where Christ reigns and dwells and rules.

We are being trained in this for we too shall rule with Him and we are given the opportunity to rule and reign even now by being good stewards of our bodies, minds, and all that He brings to us. We do everything that is in our hands with all our might as unto Him and we are transformed and conformed into His image. The Word is made flesh once more, in us all until we all fitly joined together become a habitation fit for the Creator of the Universe to dwell.

Walk in faith my brother. May He lead you in all your ways.

And to all my fellow brothers in arms. Be strong and of good courage and know that the gates of Hell shall not prevail as we assault it with love (whether that love takes the form of a bullet to put a brother out of their misery or a pat on a child's head showing them we are not devils as they are taught in these foreign lands).

In HIM

Robert
