Would you date this person?

Hi Guys,

Suppose you came across an attractive woman who knew her bible well and had a deep passion for Christ and had a genuine love for the brethren and spreading the Gospel...BUT..during her testimony she discloses she at one time was a big Porn Star and slept with hundreds of men and even women. But now she is a new creation in Christ and has abandoned her past!

Would you still date her? Does her past really matter anymore?

Blessings!

Walter

I know I know. Food for the stomach and stomach for the food, But still. I find it unfair. I know love is about giving not receiving but its like. Let me play around too then come back at her since she played around already. :peace: That is my way of being equally yoke. Then again, facing judgment is pretty tough. What would I say to God? I felt tempted? I couldn't control myself. I know that God wouldn't put us through something we can't handle. It is still unfair.

13"Food for the stomach and the stomach for food"but God will destroy them both. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

Kid,

Is this the most godly answer that you can come up with?

Hey that is how clear as I can be :)

I just find it unfair. I think if a person been that way, he or she will always be that way. I don't really see people change at all. They usually change for the worst.

When I look at Marriages in both sides. Christianity and non-Christians. I do find this stupid. How history just keep repeating itself. Guys that doesn't have responsible fathers ended up doing the same thing there fathers do. Everyone just follow a funny certain pattern.

Marrying someone just out of faith is very risky, because I know many people that did it and ended up bringing home a rabbit with rabies instead of a nice juicy deer. One thing for sure. I want a nice juicy deer. :eat:

Kid,

Just for clarity, are you saying that God does not have the power to change us? And that the Bible lies when it says that we are new creations in Christ? Is this what you are saying?

Wow, I feel sorry for you that you do not know the power of God in your life. How very sad!

Mercy and grace, Lydia

Hi Kid Vid,

I think you may be working under the assumption that life is fair. I don't know where you got this idea, but it is false. Life is not fair, and it will not be until Jesus returns.

Moses was a murderer, and God used him for mighty things. Many people make mistakes in life and God changes them.

I used to do drugs, I even manufactured them. I have been to prison, but you know what? There is no one alive that can honestly say that I am the same person. God came into my life like a freight train. He changed everything. I have not had the desire for the drugs or the lifestyle since, and I never will. Because I believe God. I didn't change me, God changed me. Anyone who says differently is a liar, because I know the power of my God.

Read your Bible, you will see how God changes people. The Apostle Paul is the perfect example. How could you say people do not change after you read that?

My heart breaks for you my friend. Please pray for the transforming ministry of the Spirit to come into your life. No one who has ever experienced it could believe the things you have said here. They all know how they have changed. If anyone has not changed after accepting Jesus, they should be questioning whether they have Him or not. I know that sounds harsh, but it is the absolute truth. Accepting Christ ALWAYS comes with an inner character change. If not, you need to be on you knees.

Blessings,

Leon

Hi Kid,

I think you really need to read Lydia's Testimony a couple of posts above. She is proof that God can change a person. I have seen many people and have heard many testimonies where through the power of God people changed and even radically. I am sorry that you have apparently not witness such changes in people. They do occur and also look at how Paul the apostle changed. Mary the prostitute is another example.

The rate of Christian divorces are lower than secular. The survey that had been conducted many years ago was discovered to have been skewed and consequently the results were inaccurate.

God can make radical changes in a person. When someone has a conversion to Christ, they are a NEW Creature. The former things are past and ALL things become New.

Do you trust the Holy Scriptures?

Do you trust God?

If you do then why do you question God?

Blessings!
