a little sermon bout prayin prayin prayin..

dear folks, id like to talk to ya a little bit about prayin prayin prayin,,



genesis4:26 And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos : then began men to call upon the name of the LORD.



now i believe this is when men seperated theirselves to GOD. probaly also a beginning of prayers. we could also assume that its sayin that it would be good for us to call upon the name of the LORD each day..

each day when you wake up you should thank GOD for giving you another day on this eatrh.. we should thank HIM for everything HE does for us. or has done for us. or is goin to do for us... thank HIM for your family, friends, work, home etc.. thats a good way to start ones day is by praying with thanks to our FATHER..



1 john 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.



we also need to pray for forgiveness of our sins... because we all do sin in some way shape or form almost daily... we need to confess them and ask for forgiveness from them.. we need to do this so that we may become closer to GOD. and to have a unhindered relationship with HIM.. see this is very important as this keeps us in a close personal relationship with GOD.. so we can be able to hear HIM better and feel HIS presence better... you know when you are sinnin and have not asked forgiveness for it.. you do NOT feel HIS presence with you near as good and even sometimes not even feel HIM at all if youve strayed so far away... you need to be cleansed daily.. to stay close...



phillipians 3:13-14 13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,



14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.



see we have to forgive ourselves also.. and forget our past failures.. so they dont hinder us for the works GOD has in store for us to do. .. ya see past failures or hurts or anything you feel guilty of you need to let that all go too so you dont hinder your relationship with GOD ..whan you hold on to things like that you are putting a barrier between you and GOD.

ya know ya cant hear with ear plugs on.. hehe and thats what its like you have to get rid of all the old junk and move forward looking towards your present and future goal..

one other thing if you also take your past successes and get too comfortable with them it can cause you to coast as well.. now that is not good either... one cant become a slacker either..



james 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.



now you also need to pray for wisedom.. the wisedom to live righteously for if we call upon GOD daily then we are promised that it shall be given to us.. wisedom in all things.. ask and ye shall receive..

proverbs 3:5-6 >5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.



6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.



with this you know you have a faith in your future. call upon GOD and lean on him and HE shall guide your paths...



and also call upon GOD to help you daily as you are goin to be out and speaking the gospel to others and for help that you will walk in a way becoming to you as a christian. so that others may see you in a good light. remember who you are a spokesman for..youre a walkin billboard for CHRIST..

pray for help for you to love everyone and to show love when you speak.. remember this. if you start tryin to preach or teach in an attackin mode or in an abrasive mode no one is goin to listen to you. they will just tune you out.. and become very defencive.. GOD teaches us to teach in a gentle kind manner so that those who are in opposition to us will maybe listen and come to know the truth and gain knowlege..



2 tomothy 2:23-26 23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.

24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient ,

25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.



so to sum it all up folks pray pray pray for all things...call on the name of the LORD our MAKER !!!
