I do not think it is scriptural to consider a job or a woman or anything else as something you could be in competition with some other believer for in God's eyes, as if He is there deciding on who prays hard enough. Of course we should pray for things we need. But I think that the good things we are to pray for are primarily the things that will glorify our God: That we will surrender to His will, that we will be joyful and trusting in Him, that our families will be strong and glorify Him....not to beat out some other believer for the babe. View Profile History	who get's the prize? Posted : 18 May, 2010 03:39 PM I think that a spiritual person has to realize he is in a world that is governed by things that aren't necessarily spiritual. So, even if both are righteous and both pray, the person with the best qualifications for the position will get the job. Post Reply
