Getting old is not a curse!so I encourage those godly men to don't be afraid of posting pictures that are recent. Posted : 23 Sep, 2007 12:07 PM lol??? what are you talking about man? that made me laugh.. i dont post an updated one because PARTIALLY i dont want to be judged by just my looks (i dont take good pictures) but also because my personality is what sets me apart. i know i am Average looking at best. but i dont like just EVERYONE knowing what i look like exactly. i am not shy, just cautious on who i let see the "real me". but at the same time i want a girl to be comfortable in knowing somewhat of how i look. if you read my profile i say that this is an old pic and give a description of what i look now. With this, I don�t mean to say that you �know� somebody just by looking at a picture but is a first step. If a person shows his/her picture, the individual is showing his commitment in this case, to the opportunity to know others, is allowing other people to know him and his attitude is something like: ok, here I am! I am not hiding, I am not afraid I am going to shake of my fears and give it a try. I have also initiated emails (contact) just because I liked their profile whether they have a picture or not. Because you can't go solely by looks. You also have to see the real person inside. Some people chose to wait until they feel comfortable with an individual before exposing their face. That's fine with me. We are all beautiful children of God. Amen. :dancingp: Post Reply

I also hide when the camera coems out if I can help it. I hate being blinded by the flash. Having a whole sky in front of my eyes isn't my idea of fun. :-) Post Reply

Posted : 27 Jan, 2009 08:16 PM As far as anyone posting a photo on their profile, I think it's an insecurity issue, or they have a problem downloading a pic (the most common explaination). Some guys don't get it, a guys appearance is the first thing that attracts a woman's attention, then women want to know whether or not a guy's got something to say. The less he's got to say the more "boring" he's gonna be. If he sounds like all the rest then his looks are the only thing that makes him different. If a guy sounds intelligent then women are more apt to drop him a note, if he reveals any kind of baggage then don't even expect a wink. Guys if you want women to notice you go out and get some decent pics....don't post "mug shots" and don't have them older than 2 years, you don't change much in that period of time, well, for guys maybe the amount of hair. Got out and get fit (or at least wear something that makes you seem that way) and include a full body shot. Gals...the same goes for you, if you got nothing to wear that looks like it came outta grandma's closet then put on a man's t-shirt (if you can pull it off, a tank top) and a pair of jeans (I say that because I think that make a woman look "down to earth"). Remember, you're gonna get a lot more responses if you have a picture posted. Post Reply
