amazedbyHisgrace View Profile	pornography Posted : 22 Oct, 2010 07:12 PM Dear Pixie, I have read several of the posts and am realizing that I'm probably taking a chance at never having a date on here:rolleyes: by stating my opinion; but, then, I am disabled and live on disability doesn't seem to be working for my anyway,:rolleyes::ROFL:, so, here goes. I think the personal reasons why ppl watch/read porn differ cuz ppl are different; but, it is my personal belief that the underlying reason is Satan. I know I might get alot of grief for this; but, when I get angry with my daughter; when I smoked; I was giving into Satan. It's simple as that. It's not complicated. As far as not having issues like this on the public forum(specifically on a Christian site) I have to say, when I first saw this question, I felt the same as Jude;:rolleyes: but, then God led me to the post right after Jude's first one that commented that if ppl(including Christians) feel they can not discuss and ask questions about subjects such as porn; alchoholism; etc. then they may not seek help. I mean, we're Christians. Ok I'm gonna put it right out there....I have many relatives who are gay...two are close relatives. If I turned my back on them and did not share God's love with them and answer any questions they may have, what kind of Christian would that make me? I'm afraid, not a good one. Jude, yes u are entitled to ur opinion; but, so is everyone else, as long as it's not hateful.

And am so very happy and grateful that I did! I cannot begin to tell u how ur story moved me and am not the least bit ashamed to tell you that I didn't just get teary eyed but, cried like a baby when reading this.:rolleyes: No, I have not gone thru anything like what u went thru so I cannot sit here and tell u that I can relate, cuz I can't. I can however relate to the feelings of regret that u have. I have handed them up to God; but, it was a looong road. Even tho I can't relate ur story did do something for me tho, and that is make me even more grateful to God for all my blessings and also humbled me, which I actually pray for quite a bit. I think all of us can get so wrapped up in our own lives and problems that we forget that there's always someone out there going thru much worse or, at the very least, the same. I don't remember the exact date on ur post but, do remember it was 2009 so I imagine ur mom is gone by now. I pray that you and ur family are well! Only thing I can think of is that maybe this woman was very insecure, therefore nice men would scare her. The only reason I understand that kind of messed up "logic" is becausse I used to be the same way BEFORE I became a Christian. I went from one bad relationship to another. Now that I'm finally emotionally healthy and whole I can't even find a date.:rolleyes::laugh: But, of course it's all in God's hands.

Many times people see me as lazy or a gold digger because I live on disability(I have MS). It can be very disheartening! Thankfully , God healed me several yrs ago(when I became a Christian) from my extreme insecurities, so I've gone from "needing" a man to wanting one; but, it is still frustrating. Tks again Angel!
