PRAY AND FAST FOR MARRIAGES
Posted : 17 Sep, 2011 03:55 PM

lol, Aren't you a comedian. No, you won't get one faster. Who knows you might not get one at all. The Lord might reveal that it is not His will for you to have a wife. This is just a time set aside to devote for healthy Godly marriages.

Just sayin Hi
Posted : 9 Sep, 2011 11:30 PM

Hello,

I have been in CDFF since July. I have conversed with a lot of great people in chat. Even met a few great ones through the emails here. Not real big on the im's, but that just me.

I am confident in Christ. As long as He is at the center, and I am NOT in control everything is great. I have to constantly keep my flesh under submission or else trouble will rear its ugly head. I let my flesh run wild one day and God is still cleaning up the mess I made. Anyway the importance of living a Christ-centered life in crucial. EVERYTHING in the life of the believer should revolve around Christ. His hand should be in ALL areas of your life.

I just wanted to officially introduce myself to forums since I have been answering some of the topics. I have a lot of life experience to draw from if you need some encouragement that is my specialty.

Blessings,

Should christians gamble?
Posted : 8 Sep, 2011 01:28 PM

I was a cocktail waitress in casinos before receiving Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. I can tell you first hand that nothing good comes from gambling. Yes, The Bible does not say anything about casinos ie gambling. Here is my take on it. When you look at the destruction that the gambling industry as a whole produces...ie divorce, suicide, burglary etc. How can you in your good conscience being a steward over all God has given you put even one penny to support such an industry.

If this is not helpful advice take it to the Lord! He is our very present Help in time of need.

Blessings,

Unequally Yoked
Posted : 8 Sep, 2011 12:57 AM

My parents were unequally yoked and there were many consequences because of it. When my Dad proposed to my Mom after only 7 months of knowing each other my Mom asked my Dad if he was a Christian and he said, "I love God." Now, Mom knew those weren't the same things, but she loved Dad.

Fast forward 35 years. My brother gets saved and becomes a preacher. He is preaching a revival and my Dad out of "pride" goes to see his son the preacher. At the end when he did the altar call he looked out at my Dad's pale-tear streaked face and went and took his hand to lead him to the altar. He had such a death-grip on Mom's hand that they all three went up to the altar that day.

They have been married for 53 years. December 27 will make their 54th. Which happens to be non-coincidentally the date that I got saved. It will be my seventh Birthday.

Being unequally yoked can sometimes work, but there are consequences and it is more often the exception and not the rule.

Were do you belong Anti-homosexual or homosexual
Posted : 7 Sep, 2011 11:42 PM

When my sister came to me and told me that she was in a homosexual relationship, and that she and her gf were moving in together I was heart-broken. I spoke with both of them at separate times and they each said that they knew it was wrong, but that they weren't gay they were just in love with a woman. With this particular spirit there is a lot of deception. I told them that I can not say "yes" to what God says "no" to, but that I love them. They are not alienated or ostracized in my family. We love them and pray that the Holy Spirit will bring conviction.
