God in and through Jesus Christ is a huge part of my inner landscape. I take my fellowship with him very seriously. I spent years privately studying theology and going to different kinds of churches, and have friends in a number of denominations, including Catholic and Eastern Orthodox. I'm active in my small Calvary Chapel church. I also attend a second church once a week (Baptist). I was trusted enough by my pastor to be sent, alone, to the African country of Mali to represent our church to some missionaries there. (I have since returned.)
Aside from these things, I'm pretty much a geek, being into video games (mostly MMORPGs), tabletop roleplaying games, Star Wars, Star Trek, etc. Though I will say this: after spending three weeks in West Africa, I developed a bit of a taste for travel. I don't know how much of it I could really do, but I'm up for the challenge!
I have a bachelor's degree in history.
I love animals, but especially dogs and cats, and hope to have a wife open to at least one of those.
As for what I'm looking for, I'll know it when I see it, I guess. I just want a good friend first, but who is open to taking things further if things go well between us after a while.
